Where did you download it from? I'm not sure if there's any official trial version of CCleaner Professional.
-
I have it on Win7 64bit but only one entry in there.

You didn't answer this: Are you using Steam default install folders?
-
How long have you waited for CCleaner to load? It sometimes takes a while if on USB driver or if using Winapp2.ini file.
-
Have you tried the latest Speccy v1.26.698 (29 Apr 2014) ?
-
Which games & where have you installed your games (which directories)?
-
Old programs/versions are definitely not obsolote. As Nergal said it and some new version of a program might not support older OS (for example XP etc).

I use Notepad for this (or Run-field for words/short texts).

NVIDIA also released new drivers (mainly for Watch_Dogs but eg. to TF2 too). DDU pwnds, there's also AMD's own cleaner utlity http://www.userdrivers.com/Video-Graphic-Adapter/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-x86-x64/download/ http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx Yeah you should uninstall AMD drivers before installing new ones these days.

Please stop hiding main stream browser in the application tab
nodles replied to dumb's topic in CCleaner Suggestions
Shouldn't happen. Did you check "Applications" tab? Which CCleaner version & where did you download it from? Have you installed Firefox & Chrome to default paths? -
Almost all previously noted, could say all except "sandboxing". I also frequently check & update software & OS and I've tweaked some Firefox settings (+I've NoScript, ABP and HTTPS Everywhere).

Just the latest MBAM which seems to be v2.0.1.1400 and I use just the scanner ("offline"). My only "actives" are Comodo firewall and Avira AntiVir. Beside those I'm using quite large hosts file, SpywareBlaster, AdwCleaner and browser addons (NoScript etc)..

MODIFIED ENTRY [Adobe Acrobat XI More*] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat DetectFile1=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\Acrobat Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\Acrobat|*.idx|RECURSE FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0|UserCache.bin FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0\Cache|*.* Added DF1. Do you think these could be added? Lenovo SWTOOLS folder contains driver installation files which usually ain't needed after first install (same as AMD/ATI entry). [Lenovo SWTOOLS*] LangSecRef=3025 DetectFile=%HomeDrive%\SWTOOLS Default=False FileKey1=%HomeDrive%\SWTOOLS|*.*|REMOVESELF There's also C:\Drivers folder which contains driver installation files. The folder was created during Lenovo driver install/update, but some other manufacturers might use the same folder. [Driver Installation Files*] LangSecRef=3025 DetectFile=%HomeDrive%\Drivers Default=False FileKey1=%HomeDrive%\Drivers|*.*|REMOVESELF

Regenerating files often grow larger over time and that's one reason to clean them. And why not clean them?
-
You could report what did you add/edit?
-
I've made the entry I think, but yeah from there and http://steamdb.info/ https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_Application_IDs
-
Why remove "old" programs? Many people might use them even though their development has stopped. I'm still using Resource Hacker, but it's on my USB stick.

You don't have to purchase anything, CCleaner is free.
