  1. OK I think I came up with one thing we can put for qBittorrent:

    [qBittorrent*]
    LangSecRef=3022
    DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\qBittorrent\
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\qBittorrent\torrents|*.torrent

    Note that this would only be necessary if you choose to check off Options > Downloads > Copy .torrent files to... and then specify that folder, so maybe some of you might have some objection to including this. Let me know what you think.

  2. Howdy folks, after a lengthy absence I return with a question.

    I have recently started using qBittorrent on my computer. It is a free/open source torrent client. I was wondering if any of you folks were familiar with it and what files (if any) can be deleted in its %appdata% folders.

    It isn't a huge big deal because I really don't use it that frequently, I was just wondering if there is anything in qBittorrent to add to winapp2.ini.

  3. this post is confusing. You don't have malware but you have malware?

    What is so confusing about what I said? I said that I found this folder in %localappdata% folder but I DO NOT have a malware infection.

  4. Well, I don't have a malware infection on my machine (at least, not as far as I can tell) and this TempImages directory was in my %Localappdata% folder. It appears to have been filled with setup programs for those programs which are packaged with free software.

    According to VirusTotal, the Free WAV to MP3 Converter that I was using was packaged with malware. I think the reason I haven't had a problem is because I didn't use the stupid toolbar app that came with it.

    Nonetheless, I don't see why we shouldn't include this in the Winapp2.ini file. I've already added it as a custom location in my own installation of CCleaner.

  5. All right, here's another temporary-installer-file deletion entry for ya:

    [TempImages directory*]
    LangSecRef=3025
    DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\TempImages
    Default=false
    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\TempImages|*.*|RECURSE

    I have to wonder if we should set "Default=true" for this since this folder appears to do nothing but take up space and occasionally hide malware. Let me know what you think.

  6. All right, here's a question for you smart folks here:

    Is it safe to delete the folder %userprofile% / %appdata% / TempImages? Based on this Google search, I suspect it is, but I want to hear from you people.

    If the answer is yes, should we put an entry for it in the Winapp2.ini file?

    I hope everyone is having a good holiday season. :)

  7. Hi everyone, I'm pretty new here, but I would like to propose a couple of new entries.

    I use SlimDrivers to keep my computer's drivers updated. It doesn't always work, but it does leave behind a fair amount of crap on my C drive.

    I propose we split the current SlimDrivers entry into three separate entries as follows:

    [slimDrivers Backups*]

    LangSecRef=3024

    DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Slimware Utilities Inc\SlimDrivers\

    Default=false

    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\SlimWare Utilities Inc\SlimDrivers\Backups|*.*|RECURSE

    [slimDrivers Downloads*]

    LangSecRef=3024

    DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Slimware Utilities Inc\SlimDrivers\

    Default=false

    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\SlimWare Utilities Inc\SlimDrivers\Downloads|*.*|RECURSE

    FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\SlimWare Utilities Inc\SlimDrivers\Images|*.*|RECURSE

    [slimDrivers Logs*]

    LangSecRef=3024

    DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Slimware Utilities Inc\SlimDrivers\

    Default=false

    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\SlimWare Utilities Inc\SlimDrivers\Logs|*.*|RECURSE

    Also, I use the Vizzed Retro Game Room and its required browser plugin to play video games online.

    I propose the following new entry to clean after this plugin:

    [Vizzed Retro Game Room*]

    LangSecRef=3023

    DetectFile=%LocalLowAppData%\VizzedRgr\

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%LocalLowAppData%\VizzedRgr\Downloads|*.*|RECURSE

    FileKey2=%LocalLowAppData%\VizzedRgr\Roms|*.*|RECURSE
