  1. Hello, One of Internet Explorer 8's utilities is called "InPrivate Filtering". It analyses websites for "Third Party Content", blocking such content when it detects that this could be used for tracking the user. This is to prevent such tracking data being used for targeted advertising. While doing this, IE retains information about the websites you visit. (In IE you can remove the InPrivate Filtering data, by doing: ?Internet Options? dialog box: ?General? tab: Click: ?Delete??/ ?Delete Browsing History? dialog box: CHeck: ?InPrivate Filtering data?/OK.) Does Ccleaner have any option for removing IE8's "InPrivate Filtering" data, so that this can be included in a Ccleaner general cleanse, and also so that the user can take advantage of Ccleaner's secure deletion options? I hope to receive an answer to this query. Regards, Robert333
  2. Hello kroozer, Many thanks for your reply. Re: Action - Wipe free space drives: I believe that I understand this better now! Your instructions cause this particular action to be included in the routine/normal cleanse. If we do not want this particular action included in the routine/normal cleanse (because wiping free space on drives can be time-consuming), we can choose to run this separately, at: Tools > Drive Wiper. (I notice that if we want to also configure this particular action to clear the "MFT Free Space" ("Master File Table Free Space"), we must set this at: Options > Settings.) Thanks for your help and speedy response. Regards, Robert333
  3. Hello, I have Windows 7 Starter with Ccleaner 3.06.1433. In Ccleaner, in addition to the other settings for cleaning, I also set the following: Options/Settings: "Secure file deletion" "Gutmann 35 passes" "Wipe free space drives Local Disk (C:)" "Wipe MFT Free Space" (However, I have not selected any drives in: Tools/Drive Wiper.) When I run Ccleaner it completes quickly, and the report shown makes no mention of wiping Free Drive Space or of wiping the MFT Free Space; actions which I would also have expected to take some time. How do I ensure it carries out the "Wipe free space drives Local Disk (C:)" and "Wipe MFT Free Space" settings? I look forward to receiving a solution. Regards, Robert333
