Ok, Just a quicky to thank, JD & Dennis. I finnaly got it sorted out, I was installing the small file. & thought I,d give the big (12.5mb) file a shot , & it installed & for some reason after that worked, I was able to install the flash player. Thanks again. & I finnaly got to watch that panda movie, fuuny stuff, Thanks Woody. Cowboy

Thanks for the info. I searched & after all morning & about 300 attack,s Which were blocked thanks to Avast. I found my firewall was shut off. I dont have a clue how. But it was, Now everything is back to normal, Sorry I just got a little parenoid. Sorry for wasting your,e time. Cowboy

I have no clue what this means , but as soon as I fired My puter up this morning I connected, Then I clicked to open this forum . & Immiediatly, My Avast warning deal at the bottom popped up & said, Network shield has blocked an LSASS atack. It,s popped up 2 more times why I,m writing this. Any Idea What it is ? I have never seen it before. & could it have something to do with the forum page as I have not opened anything else yet? Thanks Cowboy Edit. Now its. blocking. LSASS eploit (SXP) attack & DCOM expoit attack. Any Ideas of What I should do. It shows a number of where the attacks are coming from but dissapears quicker than I can write it down.

Thank,s JD. I downloaded what You said. & still no go. The java wont install, says I need to prove it exists, before it will open & install. The flash player I,ve downloaded again, still never installed. I give up. I didn,t want to watch them anyway I was just irritated I couldn,t . I,m reasonably sure I changed, or uninstalled something I shouldn,t have trying to get rid of that netzero ISP that was constantly freezing My puter with flash ads . Thanks for your help. Cowboy

I still cant figure this out. I still cant play Youtube videos. Because it says I dont have the newest, or it is turned off. Once again I may have accidently uninstalled it or deleted it if thats possible. I found 2 file folders in my computer under Java, & They both say there empty. Question # 1, can I reinstall it & from where? #2, is it the same as flash player & do I need to install that & also from where ? I have searched this forum & can,t find anything other than how to update it ,Which I have done. But I dont think You can update something that does,nt exist. Can someone help me sort this out ? No,Andavari But I did look & it,s not checked as disabled. But shouldn,t it show in My add & remove programs if I have it. Or where could it Be. No big deal about the video, I,m just really curious now. Thanks Cowboy

Ok , Andavari, Been there tried that. not only It still doesn,t work. But I cant find it on My system. I might have disabled it before ( I know I had it ) Or uninstalled it trying to stop netzero awhile back. I,m not sure if the link Res 45 gave Me was for an update, OR to dowload it from scratch. At any rate something is screwy. Cuz Even My dancing cowboy avatar doesn,t work any more. I assumed It was shut off somehow, for some reason by this site. No biggy just trying to figure out whats up. Hey Woodie, I have a stupid question for You. I have only tried to watch 1 or 2 of those & never could, because it said I had Something outdated & I needed to update. Plus from My understanding It,s very easy to get a virus If I download something from them for updates & some movies are attached to viruses. Am I being to paranoid ? & What actually allows You to watch them & a safe sight to update what I need. Thanks Cowboy

Hey KS-FINN. Somebody that knows more will help You soon. But NO Dont uninstall IE, You can use them side by side . when I had it I had it on My desktop. I got rid of it Because I had other problems. Well around here, ( Kansas USA ) the laws have gotton really strict, mostly with drug offences. If You get stopped with what They decide is amounts of drugs for resale The vehicles are impounded & Now belong to the state, No Questions asked. & being that one of the major hiways ( I70 ) runs thru Our state That links both coasts & a major Hiway leading to And from mexico. Were talking some perty fancy cars, that are then donated to the law enforcement . Mostly are barely marked, So You never know Who or where they are, Plus They sponser car shows & drag racing at the local drag stips, Showing these cars. It has really helped the younger generation think twice about a lot of things & Makes Them have more respect for law enforcement. & has slowed down drug trafficing considerably. Sorry To drag this out it,s just something I feel They,ve really done to make a huge impact, for the good for a change. The small towns closest to Me have, dodge magnums, Camero,s , corvettes, 5.0 litre mustangs & a few ferrari,s & viper,s . & are not only government funded but privatly also. Just My thoughts. Cowboy

I Just wanted to pop in & say thanks to all again for the great info. I still haven,t bought one yet. But did have some pic,s put on a disk from my regular camera for 3 buck,s. & I downloaded that picasa program ( Thanks rigelly, Sorry I cant never get that spelling right ). But That is a kewl program, & I,m really enjoying editing them & stuff much more than i thought, It,s even easy for Me. Anyway I,m going to get that canon 5 mp powershot a530. for $130.00, & Some 1gb mem cards , & the battery charger, Plus the 110v plug in . So thanks to all I think with your suggestions that will fit My needs. Cowboy

Hey Ya,ll. My temp reg # has expired. I have tryed a dozen times to Register. After filling out the form on THEYRE site. I get a warning saying I am trying to access a Improper URL or somthing like that. When I try to use the secure form It says the website is not a secure one. Any ideas? Uh Oh. Yer startin to loose Me again. Puter crashes certainly aren,t My favorite topic. hehe. But again some very great info, if I can just sort it out. I dont want to buy one of those printer deals You plug the the camera in. I just want a simple camera to email pics. I,m A wildlife freak, So For My important photo,s I will still take with My high dollar cameras with the big zoom on them, & I guess if need be They can put them on a cd for Me to send if I want, Is that correct ? But I don,t know what to do from there. I assume It will load in My pictures in My documents, But I,ve never done that either. I figured if I got a digital I could sort thru whats worth keeping & whats not. To send thru email. As I go thru probably 5 rolls of film a week, My wife takes to town to get developed. Mostly critters. to keep for Myself. But I also mail them to My Sis,s & Brother, & it,s gettin kinda expensive. Sorry if this is to much info, just trying to cut corners & have more options To make it a little cheaper & more enjoyable for Me. As I have turned into a hermit, Haven,t left My property in 5 years or been around anyone. So just tryin not to get any crazier I guess. Plus My Wife Works for a cruise line & travels all over the world, & I thought it would be away for Her to send Me instant pictures via email. Allthough I might be wrong. Anyway I,m still sorting thru the info & trying to figure out the best options. Thanks again for any input. right now I,m looking at the cannon MP PowerShot A530 allthough it only has a 16mb flash memory I can get the igb memory card for about anuther 30 bucks. the camera is on sale for $140.00 So I thought I might buy 2. Ok thanks to You,all, & a new ISP . My puters workin great, Now I would like to bug a digital camera so I can send pic,s to My family thru email. I need something really simple, as I dont know how to resize & all that fancy stuff. But I have no clue what to buy, preferably on the cheaper end in the states.
