  1. It would be nice if CCleaner showed Comodo Dragon instead of Google Chrome on the application cleaning tab. I know that it still cleans Dragon just like Chrome, but it would look more professional if it were listed correctly.
  2. I did a custom install and did not install GeekBuddy. I used CCleaner to delete the entry in Tools > Uninstaller List. I chose the bottom entry that didn't have a MB amount figuring that it was the rouge double entry. After doing so and restarting CCleaner, I lost both entries.
  3. Yea, I could have been more detailed with my original post.
  4. My machine is a fresh install of W7 Home Premium x64. Only software ever installed, CCleaner, Comodo 5.8, MBAM, HMP. All drivers up to date. After installing W7, updating it and installing drivers, I installed CAV 5.8 from my USB stick, changed the settings, updated sigs and rebooted. I then went to FileHippo and downloaded CCleaner & MBAM and installed both. Later that day I noticed the double entry of "COMODO INTERNET SECURITY 5.8.xxxx.xx" in CCleaners Tools > Uninstall screen. They were listed one on top of the other. The top entry had a MB size, while the one below did not. I installed SlimCleaner, and it reported a single entry in its uninstall screen as did W7's Programs & Features screen. Two days later, I re-imaged the computer to just the OS, Windows Updates & drivers. I then installed CFW 5.8 from my USB, Sandboxie and CCleaner. No other software whatsoever. Same result as above "COMODO INTERNET SECURITY 5.8.xxxx.xx" listed twice in CCleaner only. Again, I installed SlimCleaner with the same results as above, regarding SlimCleaner & W7 reporting a correct single entry of CFW 5.8 That night I re-imaged again to the OS/Driver only state, installed avast!, CCleaner, SlimCleaner, MBAM, HMP. I am currently in that config so I can not show you a screen shot. I'm not sure if I can be any more detailed with my report, however, if I missed something, let me know, and I'll try to answer it. EDIT: I have asked the other Wilders members that are experiencing the issue if they can post a screen shot. If and when they do, I will post/link it here.
  5. The $.02 remark was aimed at Comdo and not Piriform. I was told over at Comodo that I needed to format my bug report in such a way that I was not willing to spend an hour doing so, but "maybe" the devs would be so kind to look at it anyway................. I have edited my Wilders post to show that.

  7. I did some testing and CCleaner also removes all stored data from an avast! full scan. The first time I ran CCleaner on avast!, it cleaned 18MG's of something, and each time after that, it only cleaned a few KB. Today, I used CCleaner to clean everything, including avast!, then I did an avast! manual full scan, and it took 8min longer then normal (29 vs 21). Then after avast! finished I analyzed with CCleaner, and what do you know, there was 18MG's again waiting to be cleaned...............I have unchecked the avast! box, and will not clean it again. It defeats the whole purpose of avast! storing files in the persistent cache to speed up its performance. Also, yesterday, I started having a yellow ! in my wireless connection task bar notifications icon. It would only last 3-5 seconds on boot, but it was a problem that I have never had. I thought it was an avast! signature update issue causing it, but as soon as I repopulated the persistent cache (that CCleaner emptied) by doing a full scan, the problem immediately disappeared.
  8. Does anybody know exactly what CCleaner cleans in avast!? I updated CCleaner today, and it now has avast! as an option, and it's checked by default. I chose to clean avast! and it removed 18mg's of something, what, I don't know.............. Anybody?
  9. W7, x64 Home Premium, SP1. Brand new Comodo Antivirus 5.8. Latest CCleaner. After installing CAV 5.8, CCleaner shows 2 CAV entries in its program list. W7 programs and features is OK as is SlimCleaner's list. Only CCleaner shows multiple listings. I have posted this on Comodo's forums too. EDIT: See post #11 for a more detailed report.
  10. It would be nice for CCleaner to add Windows Update files to it's options. Those old files can take up to 1gig of space, and aren't needed.
  11. We'll have to agree to disagree....and no, I don't use MSE, and never have. I use avast! Internet Security.
  12. I agree. Saying that Microsoft should not allow cleaning of MSE, and it's their fault that CCleaner messes it up when it cleans, is the same as a mechanic working on your car, then having it catch fire and the mechanic tells you it's your fault for letting him work on it..........CCleaner needs to fix this not MS.
  13. W7 x64 Home Pemium SP1. I have the latest version of CCleaner installed, and it has been updated from many, many previous versions as I have had CCleaner installed on this machine for about 2yrs. I have never done a uninstall / re-install, just updates over the top. I installed WinPatrol Plus several months ago, but I eventually uninstalled it. I used Revo to remove WP and all of its remains, yet CCleaner still shows WP as one of the utilities to be cleaned..........Why? Also, would a uninstall / re-install fix this issue?
  14. On my Windows 7 x64 Home Premium machine I have set Defraggler to do a boot time defrag at every boot. What files are defragged during this process? MFT? System files? Pagefile? What about regular files that are normally defragged during the standard defrag process?
  15. I guess we'll have to agree to agree then Yea, I could live with that compromise, let's hope Piriform is listening!
  16. We'll have to agree to disagree on that. Then if they can't make the program remember the last setting for fear of people not being able to remember what they are doing, then perhaps they can relocate the check box to the front of the UI like Auslogics and IObit does. That way the user could just select it, without having to navigate to it through the menu/drop-down tab.
  17. Please make the "Shutdown after defrag" button remember its setting. In other words, once I select or unselect it, have it remain that setting until changed by the user. While it's not the end of the world to select it before defrag and desired shutdown, it is still a pain to constantly do so.
  18. How do I change to a different partition? W7 Home Premium x64
