  1. Anyone watching it? I know we have a very diversified member body, from all over the world. This is during the really long red flag break. Had to switch to the Olympics for the luge competition. AJ
  2. Updated the Facebook page - thanks Mr. G AJ
  3. http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=16475 Oh, nostalgia. AJ
  4. I've personally used Active@KillDisk to nuke a drive. Worked great for me. AJ
  5. I have no claim on talent - but he was failing to recognize some simple effects that another member had done. I'm not saying that you have to create something as good as these people's work to be considered an artist, but his ignorant comments about what the program can and can't be used for are what set me off. I realize abstract art is art in it's own right - I respect it for what it is. I prefer certain types of art, but I can still see art for what it is - a creation that can be interpreted by both the creator and viewer - and having different interpretations is one of the pluses of art. Yeah, there's a lot of fake stuff on Youtube, but I can correctly assume that either of these two wasn't doing this just to show off and fake something. Hell, if it is fake, it still took a lot of work to do that. But the guy who did the Mona Lisa - look at his profile page. Youtube profile page link The whole sped up thing is cause these things do take a lot of time. He works in other mediums as well, some very unorthodox - and really cool . My point is that some people have the talent to make some pretty amazing things with simple programs. I was not dissing one person because of a "lower skill" level or set of talents, but his comment about another member doing something in Paint that was "impossible" was just false and ignorant. But enough thread derailment. I haven't created new pieces of art as much as photoshopped stuff together. I'll provide links because the ones I have are from Imageshack. http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/160/starwarsphotoshop.jpg http://img473.imageshack.us/img473/7571/wa...mer1copyuc5.jpg http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/7827/ctski1wh1.jpg AJ
  6. I read through that topic - that guy Bill is an idiot. Go to youtube, search drawing a car in paint, or drawing the Mona Lisa in paint, and it can be done, it's just SUPER time intensive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk2sPl_Z7ZU...feature=related That bill guy is a full of fail. AJ
  7. If you do the dual partitioning - install XP first then 7. AJ

  12. First of all, call your credit card company, because CCleaner is free for use, with donations acceptable. You should have downloaded it from here: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Second, CCleaner is used for cleaning temporary files, so it won't do what you want. If you know how to burn an ISO to a disk, download this program. Active @ KillDisk This will wipe your system clean. AJ
  13. Gotcha - that's so weird Hazel. And I've been using the site for a while and no one had noted that. I'm sorry for that. But I had moved away from ImageShack. Any suggestions? AJ
  14. That's so weird - can you go to the Desktop backgrounds page in the Lounge and see if it does it for mine there?? When I clicked here on my initial two pictures, I was able to replicate it. But after I posted them again, I wasn't able to duplicate it. AJ
  15. Hold on - the site allows you to uplaod family safe and adult content - I must have clicked too quickly - let me edit it. This should work and Let me know if there are problems still AJ
  16. Deleted and Edited below - sorry about that. AJ
  17. Live TV - yeah, if you have a TV tuner it's pretty straight forward. No offense, it's nothing special to be perfectly honest. I don't even run gadgets - at least use a decent CPU meter: Download here You probably have stuff hidden in the arrow on the task bar any ways . AJ
  18. Revo Uninstaller free version- http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninst...e_download.html. Pretty self explanatory. AJ
  19. That's UAC - if you went from XP to 7, it's been there forever - you'll have to disable UAC in the Control Panel - unless there's something I'm not aware of. AJ
  20. The second thing is you are asking about is piracy. Such matters on these forums aren't discussed - this topic maybe locked. So don't do it or talk about it. I thought http://why.openoffice.org/index.html (OpenOffice) would have an equivalent, but there isn't. Microsoft Office isn't all that expensive these days. AJ
  21. Same kid as the iPhone - geez I wish I was that smart. AJ
  22. CCleaner is not a program uninstaller - it has the option but it just runs the Windows uninstaller. First of all download this program - Revo Uninstaller (CNet Link). Find the program in there and delete it. You might have to go into the Program Files folder on your C drive, find it and delete everything. CCleaner will be able to delete the older registry values with the Registry tool, which is maybe what your friend is talking about though. AJ
  23. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6543 Nightly tester tools allows you to force compatibility. AJ
  24. I do know that you can click the area between the URL and the Search bar and drag it left and right to resize both of them. So I feel like if you move the URL to the left, the Search bar will come with it. So I'm not sure if that will help you in any way. AJ
