    Reg Cleaner

The registry cleaner is the "Issues" button. Have a read through this. Beginner's guide Btw, welcome to the forum.
  2. I agree with this, I think this is the way to go. I know that some people find this extension , initially, a bit of a nuisance. But, when you get used to it, it gives you a genuine feeling of being in control. It's my second favourite extension, after Adblock.
  3. The first thing to do is try running Firefox in safe mode Start > Mozilla Firefox > (safe mode). This disables any themes or extensions you've added and runs Firefox in its default setting. If everything seems fine then you know that one of your extensions is the culprit.

It's happening again. I need to log in each time I visit the site. I've sorted it out. I had the Firefox "Stealther " extension switched on by mistake.
  5. If you're really curious then go Here and ask the author himself.
  6. Firefox is a wonderful browser. Lots of very knowledgeable people here use it. If you ever have any problems with it, make this foum your first port of call.

    So Cold Outside

Hey, humpty, Isn't this a wonderful board ? I would suggest that yourself and 1984 are as far apart (almost) as it's possible to be geographically. Here in Manchester (uk) we've had a spot of wind and rain. As for -37 Omg,

  10. I'm glad you've got this sorted out. Have a look at this. http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=7323
  11. Hi Cowboy, this is just to say that I've had the A520 for a couple of years now and been completely happy with it. I bought the A530 for a family member over Christmas and they love it. I'm sure you've made a good choice. All the best, Woody. Btw It costs ?100 here ( $ 180 - $ 190 )

Hi Mike, this doesn't seem very likely. I'm sure most of the regulars here are members of other forums other than this one (even though this one is the best ) I have no clue what is causing the problem though. It can't be just the two of us experiencing this surely ?

All my settings are exactly as you describe, but I still have the problem. Very odd. I just can't think what it can be.
  14. Is this thread any help to you? Link

I thought my problem was solved but it isn't. I still have to log in each time I access the site. The first thing I did was to delete the old cookie via Cleaner , then create a new one by returning to the site and saving the new one. This had no effect. I don't really mind having to log on each time, but you know how it is, laziness gets the upper hand. I'm sure the solution is very simple and is staring me in the face.

I had this problem as well, but doing the above has solved it for me also.
  17. Hi Ed_Y welcome to the forum. Please make sure that Firefox is completely shut down before running CCleaner. Otherwise the cache will not be cleared.

    Firefox Add-on

Oh, Rridgely, you just need more patience.

    Firefox Add-on

I agree with every word of this. I love this extension, but it has caused a number of arguments between Mary (my other half) and myself. She uses IE at work, but has finally come around to my insistence on using Firefox on the home PC. Now, whenever a website doesn't render as it should, I just tell her that she has to enable scripting. This drives her mad. She just wants everything to work. She is however getting used to the idea. So much so, that I heard her discussing the principal of the No Script extension to an equally sceptical friend of hers just after Christmas.
  20. Hi cowboy, what Hazel says is really the point. Don't pay for things you will never use. In my opinion you won't go wrong if you buy Canon. But don't go for the highest spec. All the best for the New Year, Woody.
  21. A very merry Christmas to everyone.
