  1. Adding my 2 cents worth.... Win7, 64 bit; CC v.5.10.5373. After years of using CCleaner problem-free I have now received a "crash" three times since yesterday. One NOTE: when attempting to send a crash report the crash report window either sends or disappears before I am done entering information into the window. Further info: whether it has anything to do with CC's crashes or not (I suspect not) the only "unusual" activity I've done on my PC of late is to uninstall / re-uninstall some of Windows Win10 related windows updates -- rebooting my PC between each un-installation. (Specifically, KB2952664, KB2990214, KB3035583, KB3021917, KB3083710.) One QUESTION: should I not worry about it, wait for Piriform's next CC update, or uninstall/reinstall CC? (Once past the crash window CC DOES seem to run a-OK.)
  2. Thanks for the reply Winapp2.ini. Indeed cleaning my cache before running CCleaner *did* speed things up. Still, my question remains: why did previous versions of CCleaner run faster than more recent ones (without first clearing my browser caches)?
  3. I've searched Google and these forums. Can't find a reference to my specific issue.... I've been using CCleaner for longer than I can remember. Never had a problem and it ran FAST. Lately (past month or two) it takes CCleaner forever to finish. (As I watch its progress, CCleaner seems to spend most of its time "searching/cleaning" Google browser cache.) Is, indeed, CCleaner taking more time to run, is it my imagination (impatience), or have I ticked some things in the Settings which were previously un-ticked?
  4. I am not a techie. I've been using CCleaner for many years. Recently, running CCleaner has been taking some time. I want to know why. Most of the "time" CCleaner is running it seems to be searching for/deleting my browser cache (primarily Chrome and, secondarily, Firefox). As a non-techie, I'm just wondering why this recent change. Is CCleaner searching and cleaning deeper into browser caches? Or is Chrome (and other browsers) burying their files/caches more deeply?
