Thank you for Ccleaner.
I contribute to Ccleaner once every year.
Stats: windows 7 pro 64-bit
Ccleaner v.5.31.6105
When I download v5.32.6129 and execute the .exe file version,
5.31.6105 still shows when I run Ccleaner.
What is wrong?
Please advise.

Thank you for responding Nergal,
IMHO Windows 10 is very invasive. What I do on my computer is my
business and only my business. Microsoft needs to be stopped in their
invasive practices. I will never put Windows 10 on my computer.
I will run Windows 7 until the cows come home.
I put my Wife on Ubuntu to get rid of the windows crap one has
to tolerate.
-
I don't need or want a version of Ccleaner that has all the Windows 10 crap on it.
It would certainly be nice if I could get a version of Ccleaner with this option.
I am running Windows 7 pro 64-bit with no more updates.
Thank you for Ccleaner.
Regards,
Jack Shankle

Thanks for responding.
When I clicked on www.piriform.donate-to-piriform I got a virus message.
I don't know if it was generated by ESET Smart Security or something else.

Dear Sirs:
It appears that I can no longer make a donation to Piriform.
At least I can find no place to do it.
I like your products and won't upgrade because of the cost.
But I don't like to freeload either.
Isn't something better than nothing???

I tried to make a copy from Speccy to this web site. No Luck. Have to do it by hand.
Will give the data in question. If you need more just ask.
Windows 7 pro 64-bit.
I sent a message to Kingston inquiring if I have the latest firmware.
Kingston suv400s37240g ata device
heads 16, cylinders 29,185, tracks 7,442,175, sectors 468,857,025.
firmware version 0c3fd6sd
As you can see this does not apply to an SSD.
Thanks for your help.

Thank you for Speccy,
I contribute to Piriform every year.
Speccy v1.30.730 (64-bit)
Storage does not take into account an SSD Drive.
For the SSD it is showing the characteristics of a Spinner.

It is cleaning IE when it happens.
Took about ten seconds. Sometimes might be 15 to 20 seconds.
Thanks for helping

Thanks for responding.
In the window with the message "this process will permanently delete files
from your system". When I hit Ok it hangs fro a short time.

Thank you for Ccleaner,
Stats: windows 7 pro 64-bit, Ccleaner v 5.24.5841
Dear Sirs:
I will be making my yearly donation around Jan 1, 2017.
I am afraid to update Ccleaner due to the windows 10 crap.
I am having a slight problem with Ccleaner.
It hangs at about 3% for a short time before continuing.

I don't find having anything from my computer on the Cloud amusing.
Obviously some of you do.
I guess you don't like or want privacy.
It's a great place for the NSA to prance around....
-
I want nothing to do with the Cloud. Word it anyway you like but if I get the slightest hint
of Ccleaner putting my stuff on the Cloud then I will stop using Ccleaner.
I know Piriform could care less what I do.....
-
Do any of the updates for Ccleaner contain code for the Cloud?
I shouldn't have to have the Cloud shoved down my throat.

Thanks for any help.
Running Windows 7 pro 64-bit on a Pavilion 64-bit computer.
I have never touched the settings since day 1. So they are as
Piriform set them. I also use defragger on a Windows 7 pro 32-bit
Dell and it works fine.
Maybe I should try an earlier version to see if that solves the problem.
Where can I find an earlier version of defragger
-
Thanks for responding Nodles.
I am running V2.11.560. I see that it is a 64-bit version.
Timings are way off.
Today it seemed to just hang and the % didn't change
The % of the the file fragmented didn't change either
Defraggler didn't crash.
Running windows 7 pro 64-bit with all the goodies.
ESET Smart Security - so no virus problem.
-
Sorry, misspelled Defraggler. Tried to edit it but was unable. (Mod edit - OK, done it for you)
I have a HP 64-bit computer.
Defraggler doesn't do well on it. My other computer is 32-bit and
Defraggler works fine. Unless you can tell me what I am doing wrong
I won't be able to use Defraggler on my 64-bit computer.
Thanks and sorry.

Ccleaner wants to update the version when I already have that version.
Thanks for Ccleaner.

I have Never have a problem caused by Ccleaner and
have been using it for years.
I have no complaints with its action on the registry.
Of course I have an excellent virus program and regularly
backup my system. The virus program enables me to have
a two way firewall which IMHO stops a lot of the crap.
I also have a router which stops more crap.
Windows defender and Windows firewall are turned off.
All this plus regular maintenance solves a lot of problems.

More research shows that Regseeker might be risky.
Will stick with CCleaner Registry Cleaner.
Thanks
Discussing how other reg cleaners work and measure up is something we don't really do here shankle, it is an area for support issue and suggestions for ccleaner only.
As you know the reg cleaner part of ccleaner is not as aggressive as others out there, preferring to err on the side of safety.
-
1st let me thank you for Ccleaner and Degraggler. Both excellent products.
Without them I would have to do things the hard way.
This is a question which this is the only place I can see to put it.
I have found that the Registry cleaner in Ccleaner works fine for me.
What about other products like Regseeker. Sometimes two programs doing
the same function find things the other program doesn't.
Comments please.

Thank you DennisD.
I started out on the Ccleaner forum with a username of Shankle.
I would like to keep it and delete the one for the username of JPS.
Sorry for the confusion. No wonder I was having problems.
It doesn't work that way. There isn't a link left for you to manually follow.
When you click on the old thread link you are taken automatically to the new location.
Regarding having more than one account to access different sections of this forum, it's actually strictly against forum rules to have more than one account.
You must be using a link which takes you directly to one section of this forum when you should be accessing the main page, from where you can navigate to various CCleaner, Defraggler, Recuva and Speccy sub forums.
Use this one:
http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?act=idx
Which of your accounts would you like to keep, as the other or others will have to be deleted? People usually like to keep a particular username which is why I'm giving you the choice, so please post back here and let me know.
Thanks.

1st I am having a bit of difficulty finding the Defraggler forum.
When running Defraggler (V2.03.282) and there are no more files
to defrag it keeps on running when it is at about 75% done.
Shouldn't there be a way to stop it then or shouldn't it
automatically go to EOJ.
This is probably in the wrong place but I have no idea.
If you move it I probably won't be able to find it.
Thanks for Defraggler and Ccleaner.

I just switched to Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.
Now the latest Ccleaner takes about 5 seconds at startup to complete.
My assumption is that there was something in Vista Business that
was causing the 30+ second run of Ccleaner at startup.
All is well now
-
I just tried the latest version of Ccleaner (3.04.1389)
Still takes about 30 seconds at start up to complete.
Running K-meleon and Vista Business.
I have reasons for running Ccleaner at startup...
Going back to the version before K-meleon was added.

Thank you Sir:
I did what you advised and as far as I can tell it solved the problem.
Thank you for Ccleaner.
