  1. Hello, I'd really like to add to this as I've been having slow down issues for the past four upgrades of Crap Cleaner. When I clean the program used to be so fast it was almost instant the latest version shows 48.8 seconds! Can someone please tell me why mine is so slow anymore as my wife's laptop is much faster than my desktop Dell. In other words is there something I can fix or change to make it like it used to be? Also when it's cleaning I can read text in the window of ccleaner when it's running it's cleaning so slowing in comparision. I really like ccleaner and it's a great program and have been using it for a long time so please don't take this as complaining I just wish it would work like it did in the earlier versions as it was so fast. BTW, if it matters I'm using the slim version of 2.30. Thank you kindly for any help... jlt
  2. Hello Andavari, I've one question about using Winapp2.ini that's available for download. If I install this folder into my C:\ProgramFiles\CrapCleaner folder without removing all the entries that are in this folder as it comes that will make some changes that I don't necessarily want correct? So if I only want it to install this option you list below here so it doesn't permit any lang folder to be installed in later updated versions of Crap Cleaner is this the correct way to do it? I think this would be a better option than just deleting the Lang folder each time don't you? Thanks for any help you can offer. jlt50z
  3. Just wanted to tell Mr."G" and everyone who is interested, that the bug causing the check boxes not to appear after scanning a topic that shows "No Issues Found" and then clicking on a topic that has issues to be "removed" is FIXED in version 1.28!! Good job Mr."G"!! I wanted to say a special Thank You to "krit86lr" Mr. G's fan girl for ALL the extra work and effort she put in trying to help me get this issue fixed. I also wanted to say thanks to Mr"G" for fixing this and the other bugs that were in 1.27. He sure is on the ball as he corrected this extremely fast IMHO!! Regards, jlt50z
  4. krit86lr, Thanks very much for the reply. However my VB was up to date (VB6.0 sp6) on the 98 box and my XP machine was only one version behind, however I updated it too. I'm still having the same issue with the check boxes not "always" appearing in "Issues" window in the right pane. Does Mr."G" ever check the Bugs Report forum do you know?? Do you think he saw or will see this post?? I wish he'd give us his input on it. Thanks so much once again for trying for me anyway as I do appreciate your effort. Regards, jlt50z
  5. Hello Everyone, This is my first post to the forum and I’d just like to acknowledge and give a Tip of the Hat to Mr. “G” for making such a great program. It’s a first class cleaner of choice in my book! I’ve been using CCleaner before version 1.10 was released but this is when I started making backup copies of the program just to have. I’ve never had ONE issue with Crap Cleaner until now and it’s a weird one. I downloaded version 1.27 from Major Geek’s site. Once installed on both my XP machine and my old Win 98 back up machine I noticed that “sometimes” in the “Issues” window the check boxes do not always appear that are directly under “Progress” on the very top and under it “Problems” is shown! The next time you open it they’ll be there and maybe two more times and then not. There is no set way to make this happen. You can’t simply highlight the line either as it tries to fix ALL issues then. I went back to version 1.26 with NO problems on either machine as I also tried a clean install with a download of 1.27 from CClean.com site with the same results. Can anyone please help?? Thanks very much, jlt50z
