  1. Tested with CCleaner 1.27.xxx and 1.28.277. MS Windows 64 bit - XP Pro x64 Build 3790 The "Run CCleaner" & "Open CCleaner..." are not added to the Recycle Bin for any x64 user. Can someone post the applicable CCleaner registry entries so I can check my x64 registry entries please ? FYI - I do clean installs of CCleaner, log off, reboot and have also tested on a brand new x64 installation using the existing Administrator, a newly created Administrator and a limited user. These options are added correctly on my 32 bit XP installs but not on any of my 64 bit XP installs. I haven't /won't test any auto start/clean options as I don't/won't use them. TIA
  2. Open your wallet or STFU. You people make me sick with your god given right to toolbar free software whining crap. Write your own software, or pay for some or untick one box during the install. Some users seem to have nothing better to do than hang around a free software forum lobbing veiled insults at the software producers and then praising the developers with each new release. Why are the users even here ? Just download the free software and go away. Look at the d/l count and look at the complaint count. These posters are not representive of the user base and have found an easy axe to grind. They criticise the software company all day who cannot defend themselves without revealing confidential financial information to an anonymous poster on their forums. It's the develoeprs choice to incluide a toolbar. The same way it is a user's choice to install the toolbar or not. And don't give me that "I can't fit it on a floppy" baloney. When you can fit Windows on a floppy, your nitpicking point may have merit . I had a quick scan of the content of the big posters here. One of the few users that contributes is the afro hair avatar dude. The majority of the rest should go and find a chat room for disgruntled freeware users for all the help you do. To the developers, Thanks for CCleaner! It does a great job on my systems. I feel bad these unappreciative users have hijacked your forums. Keep up the good work
  3. Bump 1) Options > Settings > Advanced > Add 2 x "Add CCleaner...to Recycle Bin" options have no effect. Installed, cleaned the registry by "hand", reinstalled but no effect. Anyone else seen this on x64 ?
  4. The last 2 posts by new users sounds a lot like the users just removed everything without reading it first. And the backup didn't work or appear ? Odd... use the beta. perhaps. Or is it similar to this ? http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showto...287entry31287 CCLeaner v1.27.260 works OK for me on XP Pro 64bit Build 3790. I have 2 small niggles 1) Options > Settings > Advanced > Add 2 x "Add CCleaner...to Recycle Bin" options have no effect. Installed, cleaned the registry by "hand", reinstalled but no effect. Anyone else seen this on x64 ? 2) Scan for issues often shows up a missing MUI reference to c:\WINDOWS\system32\hnetwiz.dll,-3085 I have run ICwizard, even though I didn't need to, am connected over a LAN to ADSL, no dial uips in or out/modem/faxes anywhere. Just a workstation connected to a modem/router.
