  1. Revo also has "Hunter Mode" that you can use to kill processes that you don't know where their from. Just drag it over the icon or window and it will give you the option of killing it or removing it.

Hmmmm, always wondered what that hunter mode was for....

Actually, I use KillProcess for that kind of thing....

  2. I tried this program 2 years ago, and although I find the concept outstanding, I just got sick of having to check programs and then installing again pretty much, when whatever I download I'm pretty sure is safe....

If there was a way to make this program more user friendly I would be on board....

  3. I like SilentNight MicroBurner because it is free, has all the features I'm looking for and it is stand-alone, this requiring no installation.

The link you provided was a trial version, and indeed had to be installed.....

  4. I tend to agree they may not get many beta testers, but that's just my opinion.

I stopped using Ad-Aware after I had been using it for many years back since it's inception when they released Ad-Aware 2007.

Are there still links out there for the old version?

The new one sucks pond water....

  5. Evidently from what I've seen they've did that 6 month trial before.

Yeah. mine just ran out last month, got excited about a new 6 month thing for about 10 seconds until reading its no longer out there, hope they do another one....

I've always been really happy with the job AntiVir does....

  6. You basically want a program that can handle layers (ie the main pic as the bottom layer, the persons face will be the top layer). I use GIMP (LINK) though it takes some getting used to. I'm pretty sure Paint.net and Photofiltre can both handle layers too and may be easier to work with for simpler stuff ;)

Tried Paint.net, but couldnt get the layers to combine right, going to try Photofiltre, thanx....

  7. Been looking all over for a freeware program that would allow me to overlap pictures, or in other words paste a pic of someones face overtop of another persons face, just tried a program called 2 Pic, what a piece of crap that was, is there a freeware program out there that would do this that works well? What would a program like this be called, a overlay program?

Any help would be great, thanx...

  8. I have been using Avant for years and really like it, lots of skins, works fast, and I like how you can display 7 or 8 of your favourite links in an added toolbar, also I couldnt imagine life without Autofill (I aint paying money to Roboform for a feature I can get for free and works great), I dont find it buggy at all....

  9. The odd time they give away some pretty good games, as far as software goes again sometimes its good, like I picked up the Pro Version of Advanced Windows Care, thats a great program, I find it handy to read other peoples comments on the software before downloading anything.....
