  3. Greetings, The below entry removes the most frequent list of locations for appointments in Outlook . There is actually no way to reset them in Outlook without clearing the key which is recreated and causes no issues. Including Entries for Outlook 2010-2000 New Entries [Outlook 2010 Appointment Location MRU *] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0 Warning=This Will Remove the Most Frequent Appointment Locations Default=False RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Preferences\LocationMRU [Outlook 2007 Appointment Location MRU *] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0 Warning=This Will Remove the Most Frequent Appointment Locations Default=False RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Preferences\LocationMRU [Outlook 2003 Appointment Location MRU *] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0 Warning=This Will Remove the Most Frequent Appointment Locations Default=False RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Preferences\LocationMRU [Outlook 2000 Appointment Location MRU *] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0 Warning=This Will Remove the Most Frequent Appointment Locations Default=False RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Preferences\LocationMRU
  4. New Entry This entry removes the backups of old versions from the Join.Me program. I tested this on Windows 7 and it worked just fine. This will remove any old versions. 5. Yes bit I tried his coding and it doesn't work CCleaner does not respect *.Log.* so it doesn't get any of those files. Ccleaning the entire directory has no issues all files are recreated over time as logs are generated. Just compare but entries and see the amount of log files captured.
  6. New Entry [AVG 2013 AntiVirus Logs *] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKCU\Software\Avg\Avg2013 Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Avg2013\log|*.* Filekey2=%WinDir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Avg2013\log|*.** Tested on Windows 7 without issue

  9. Unless I am wrong there is no way to use the wildcard character in the registry ( a good safety design I am sure). So you couldn't look for Find *. Have you actually removed these entries (manually) to see what happens? I don't think there would be an easy way to remove these without knowing the exact keys you wanted and if there could be potentially be a lot of them its seems kind of inefficient to write a hundred Regkey statements and potentially cause more issues without getting them at all once. If you need to save things under the Find key like other values then I don't think there is a way to easily remove those without getting them all.
  10. Here is a sample entry. Please test this and see what you get. Which Search button are you using that creates these? Using the Quick Find I don't create these entries. 13. Cleaning the Adobe Reader Setup Files is not a good entry. By removing these files you also prevent installing updates as well as doing a repair installation. The default installer for adobe reader attempts to do an update only and therefore looks for those files. I suggest removing the entry as its a pain if you would have to remove Adobe in order to update it.
  14. Sorry about that you guys are correct.. it was a long night. But I think combining the Winapp2 entries is a good idea =
  15. The only comments I have about combing entries are that I know some would prefer to keep the Malwarebytes Separate so they don't have to clean the Quarantine area(which is what the default CCleaner entry does) I think combining them makes sense to me as the list is growing ever longer. Perhaps use the Warning tag to list out what is being cleaned the combined entries so its more apparent what they will be removing. Just my two cents.
  16. New Entry [Join.Me Logs*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\join.me Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\join.me|*.log
  17. I agree a warning may be in order so people are aware of the caution. This may actually help people for those times when we get corrupted update files Windows refuses to re download. [Windows Installer Patch Cache *] LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Warning="Cleaning this Cache may result in being unable to uninstall software/patches or require you to have your original installation files!! 18. New Entry I found an forum on Microsoft recommending this cache can be deleted. It apparently can also be disabled in a system policy. Here are two articles describing the cleaning both say under NO circumstances should you attempt to clean the Installer directory!! Only the Patch Cache. I also verified that this did not cause any issues with updating and new folders are recreated by the Windows Installer. I saved over a 1 GB by clearing this folder. http://blogs.msdn.co...oft-update.aspx http://social.techne...ec-3a7f389d1c4c [Windows Installer Patch Cache *] LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Default=False FileKey1=%WinDir%\Installer\$PatchCache$|*.*|RECURSE
  19. I looked at this entry closer and I see no such folder in my windows folder including when looking for a hidden or protected folder. What version of Windows was this tested on?. Just one thing also are you positive this is for the . NET Framework as that name for a temp folder could be for a lot of uses? I also think it would be helpful if when we create new links if is at all possible for a program find the appropriate registry key instead searching the hard drive. It also helps if your aiming your cleaning at a specific version as sometimes programs do store version nunbers in the registry as well. CCleaner has no way to get this off the .exe [.NET Framework Temp*] - i think its named like that, cuz there were Framework files. LangSecRef=3025 DetectFile=%WinDir%\system32\URTTemp Default=False FileKey1=%WinDir%\system32\URTTemp|*.*
  20. Good Point about the Malwarebytes Quarantine folder perhaps Pirifrom should add an alert to users. As it is not obvious that is being cleaned as well and would hamper recovery effrots

  24. Thanks. Here you go I changed 20 of them from the DetectFile to Detect. In My testing they all appeared to detect without issue. Two entries appears to be dupes of APMichael above ignore those :-) Update Paths.txt
  25. **BAD ENTRY** I stumbled across this big issue it deletes all Visual Studio Files Including Projects. I am currently changing many of the DetectFile to Detects to help improve everyone's speed :-) This Entry needs either removed immediately or use my suggestions below. I can not verify the 2005 or 2008 entries but I am pretty sure they should be the same . I will post or attach a text file with all my updated Detects when I am done. I will verify they are all still detected. **BAD ENTRY** [Visual Studio Backup*] LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile1=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2005 DetectFile2=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2008 Default=False FileKey1=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2005|*.* FileKey2=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2008|*.* Suggested CHanges [Visual Studio Backup*] LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile1=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2005 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0 Default=false FileKey1=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2005\Backup Files|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2008\Backup Files|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%Documents%\Visual Studio 2010\Backup Files|*.*|RECURSE
