  1. this is interesting since I have the same exact problem trying to recover a .3gp file from a micro SD card, I posted the problem in the bug reports section an someone told me it could be a bad card or a bad reader, I removed the reader from the ecuation since i tried in another computer with the same resuts, the card seems to be O.K. since you can read an write to it (tried once only to avoid overwriting)from either cell phone and computer. MicroSD is a kingston 2GB (SD-C02G) 8DC/2GB Windows reports filesystem as RAW
  2. Yea, could be the card, i tried another reader and same result, the curious thing about this is that I can?t recover any files even if they show as excellent, but the card can be read and written by both cell phone and computer. What else can I try?
  3. I'm trying to recover a 3GP file from my phone's micro SD card, after the scan the file shows in the list as excelent but when I select it and try to recover it the program just hangs there in the calculating time left window, I left it run for two hours and nothing happened, had to cancel the job from the task manager since it was not responding. Note that the process was taking 50% of processor time after 2 hours of run and before I had to cancell it. here are the results form the dump file it generates: [2010-11-03 16:23:24] [iNFO ] Recuva v1.38.504 [2010-11-03 16:23:24] [iNFO ] System Info: MS Windows XP Professional SP3, Intel Core2 Duo CPU T7700 @ 2.40GHz, 2.0GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M [2010-11-03 16:23:24] [iNFO ] No update available [2010-11-03 16:23:41] [iNFO ] Boot sector: 6wCQICAgICAgICAAAkABAAIAAgAA+OsAPwBAAIkAAAB3nzoAgAApjVYNGU1lbW9yaWEgICAgRkFU MTYgICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVao= [2010-11-03 16:23:41] [iNFO ] FS type detected by BPB parameters, OEM name is unknown.
