  1. It would be good if features not used could be hidden and the ccleaner window adjustable to take into account display settings. For example I only use the cleaning function and registry cleaner so the rest is just bloat taking up space in the side menu for me personally.

  2. Thou doth protesteth too much.  All settings which harvest data should off by default.  Very sneaky having them on from installation. There should be a prominent prompt as soon as installation starts, giving the option to opt in, if you so desire, or decline.

That is in the process of being added to an errata note on the release notes, as we only spotted it ourselves after launch.  🤦‍♂️

These new settings weren't supposed to ship until a later version and got caught up in this build release - they are still in "draft mode" and not hooked up to anything at the back end yet.  Absolutely not intended to be included without explanation - quite the contrary, the plan was to make a big headline noise about this when finally released. They slipped out early and incomplete in our haste to fix the Firefox issue.

Once active, they will be part of a mechanism to allow free users greater control over their privacy to opt-out of seeing certain offers in the same manner that paying users currently enjoy - expanding privacy settings and certainly not curtailing them in any way.

  3. In previous versions the Advanced results showed by default.  In the latest version a simplified summary shows by default and you now have to click a link for advanced results.  How can I set CCleaner to show advanced results by default avoiding the extra click?
