  1. Thanks for your reply. This one seems to have solved the problem.
  2. Have some email accounts set up in Windows 10 Mail using app passwords to circumvent 2FA. CCleaner deletes these passwords. What switch do I need to disable, or exception set, to prevent this? Thanks.
  3. In spite of rule above being disabled, latest cleanup still deleted all but my Microsoft account from Windows 10 Mail. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
  4. Last few times I've run CCEnhancer/CCleaner on my Windows 10 Pro machine it deleted all but my Hotmail account from Windows Mail. It must be a new option in winapp2 that is causing this. Seems like an unwanted behavior to me. Can someone tell me how to disable it? Thanks.
  5. Hi, if I add my own rules to winapp2.ini, won't they be overwritten when I next use CCEnhancer to download a new winapp2.ini? How can I add custom rule below so that it doesn't get overwritten? Thanks. [System Profile Tmp Folders *] DetectOS=10.0| LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Default=False FileKey1=%WinDir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\tw-*.tmp|empty.check|REMOVESELF
  6. You may be right and I am not in the habit of rebooting after cleaning. I will post back after trying. Thanks! 3/17 Update: After rebooting, all works as expected. Thanks again for the suggestion.
  7. Ok, I'll try that but the behavior I am looking for is for CCleaner to clear the "User Assist History" and let it start over again. What I'm seeing is that running CCleaner clears the Start Menu "Recently Used" list but then also seems to prevent anything then being saved in the same list. After running CCleaner I can open a random number of infrequently used programs and none of the icons appear in the Start Menu.
  8. Whenever I run CCleaner on my Win7 system, it seems to interfere with its ability to display recently used programs in the Start Menu. I understand that it may clear them out -- I want that -- but it seems that afterwards the Start Menu won't save any new recently used! I did the registry edit "StartMenuInit=3" which upon reboot sets the Start Menu back to its out-of-box condition but when I run CCleaner again the problem reappears. I also set up an exception in CCleaner to avoid that key in the registry, but still no solution. How can I prevent this? Thanks.
