  1. The new version 5 gui is too mono tone.   There used to be a bit of definition in the GUI.    The checkboxes, other than the thin line, are lost with the white on white.

As others have said, it's not user friendly.   And the title bar is white, while my windows 8.1 colors are not.  I want the title bar to follow the window theme. Keep what you got if you must, but make it easier on the eyes.

checkboxes are also by me to ... bright, also the dividing lines between the subcategories in "extras" and "options"

a little darker or black could create remedy B)

  2. Just installed V. 5.01 for the very first time just to get firefox 34 cleaning improvements.

    I was using V. 4.17 before.

Wow---major GUI difference. But really not as bad as I`d thought it would be.Just went in and turned off all the active monitoring stuff since I don`t want another program taking resources in task manager, and I don`t need active monitoring since I clean manually 3 times daily.

Would be nice if they offered a GUI option. It is tougher on the eyes with it`s brightness.

Seems many programs are doing the Windows 8-8.1 metro look thing now, even though most don`t want/like it.

I wanted to resize the GUI to a smaller size by doing the pointer on borders thing, but it won`t resize like 4.17 did.

    Anyway to resize it?

it goes with me, i just dont know if it goes through just-so small the new look probably a little bigger

  3. yes, I did:-)
But I still do not realize why Windows created a "* .dmp" with the size of 800 MB. The normal size of a *.dmp is around 300 KB or less right?

    the normal path of system error-logging is C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WinsockAFD "WinsockAFD2014....dmp" round 259 kb size;

but this enormous file with 800 mb size is C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports "WinsockAFD2014....dmp"

both are the same file-name, but enormous size difference...

I had the error-reporting and the system error-logging disabled in Windows 8.1.

  4. i have download the tool "who crashed" but it seems to verify only "c:\Windows\Minidump" -not "c:\Windows\LiveKernel..."

on my laptop no blue screens surfaced until now.

i got no any other messages, but in the event viewer are occasionally error messages - no graphic problems

    my av is AVG2015 free

  5. hi,

why ccleaner not delete this file?

windows regularly creates this file with current date

Windows assigns the self as a waste and you can delete it on the drive activity-cleanup.

    why not ccleaner?

    attach file is not running...

location of this file in windows 8.1

    C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WinsockAFD-2014*.dmp with 786 mb
