  1. hello olli :) grüße

ich hab mal bei mir geguckt mit windows 8.1... bei mir taucht der fehler nicht auf.

i have try it on my w8.1... but its alright on my pc.

    als beispiel:
    as example:

  2. After clicking "Check for updates", I had to wait 50 minutes for it to come back and list the 23 updates that were available: 20 important and 3 optional. All were left unchecked with the exception of the very last optional update: Install Windows 10. I thought that was being a bit sneaky, since the optional updates are listed on their own separate page, and if you're not paying attention, you could unintentionally install Windows 10. So I unchecked that one, checked everything else, then proceeded to download and install. That took just over an hour! So in all, it took me about 2 hours to download 22 updates and install them, which is simply ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. I'm waiting for January's update Tuesday to see if this "agony of waiting" repeats itself.

similar on my vista :-)) ofcourse without w10 upgrade

  3. ublock 1.5.3

    gorhill released this

    New:

Not part of uBlock Origin proper, but rather an online tool to help objectively bust the myth that with uBlock Origin ("uBO"), "pages load slower" than with Adblock Plus. The tool: Page load speed (updated).

    Changes:

uBO will now automatically select the filter list which matches the current browser locale at first install time. This change does nothing if you have uBO already installed.

    Closed as fixed: Chromium:Core:
  4. ublock 1.5.2

    gorhill released this

    Changes: Chromium:

Reverted fix to issue #533: possibly due to a browser bug, the fix was causing other issues as reported in the Chrome store ...

With this extension enabled, Windows 10 not longer goes to sleep. POWERCFG /REQUESTS reports "WebRTC has active PeerConnections" from chrome.exe. Disabling this extension removes the request and allows Windows to sleep.

    and ...

I came home today to find my PC (Win10 x64) wasn't asleep. I checked powercfg -requests and saw Chrome reporting "WebRTC has active PeerConnections".

Looking in chrome://webrtc-internals/ the only entry is for:

chrome-extension://cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm/background.html, { servers: [], iceTransportType: all, bundlePolicy: balanced, rtcpMuxPolicy: negotiate },

Which is this extension. What is uBlock doing to keep WebRTC hung up and thus prevent my PC from sleeping?

I took a dump of the WebRTC Internals page if you'd like it for any other info.

uBO was closing the connection, but it appears there might be a browser bug.

  5. I just recently replaced hardware to get my WinXP computer running again, and that old dog of a PC I think is more secure (even without monthly updates) the way I have it configured compared to my mothers brand new Dell laptop running Win10 which I view as insecure spyware.

    i share his statement :)

  6. CCleaner.exe /AUTO -> CCleaner runs silently and automatically, using the current set of saved options to clean the PC. CCleaner then exits.

/autorb seems to be the same as /auto

/autojl shows only the cleaner in my case

Note: When you run CCleaner.exe using the /AUTO parameter, CCleaner does not run the Registry cleaner. You cannot currently run the Registry cleaner through a command-line parameter

(this command line parameters as autorb/autojl seems not to be in the documentation. is there a complete list somewhere?)

  7. I don't understand what willy2 is suggesting. The file location is where the office recents are located.  What do I do with this info?

    you have 2 ways

1.) uncheck box "office 2013" or what you have in ccleaner->applications->applications->office 2013

    ccleanerofficem7gasxdvhy.jpg

or if you have this box checked for cleaning

2.) use the path from willy2 in your exlude-list

    ccleaneroffice42jofiv9cd.jpg

my opinion? take 1.) its easyer

  8. C:\Users\PIERON\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\Recent\*.*

take this path with your user-account (i have it called PIERON) in your EXCLUDE-List in Ccleaner...

    ccleaner-->options-->exclude-->add

    a window opens

in first area "Drive or Folder" take the path into this or browse it manually

    confirm with ok

  9. hello arthurbird,

i have unchecked windows log files

check "custom files and folders" for things in your include-list... (especially user-temp-folders or similar stuff)

  10. ccleaner /monitor --> started ccleaner "active monitoring" feature without "system monitoring"

    the same with /monitoring

CCleaner.exe /AUTO -> CCleaner runs silently and automatically, using the current set of saved options to clean the PC. CCleaner then exits.

CCleaner.exe /AUTO /SHUTDOWN -> CCleaner runs silently and automatically, using the current set of saved options to clean the PC. Windows then shuts down automatically..
Note: You cannot run /SHUTDOWN by itself. It must be preceded by /AUTO.

CCleaner.exe /EXPORT -> CCleaner exports the cleaning rules to the INI files. Three INI files will be created in the CCleaner's installation folder - winapp.ini, winreg.ini and winsys.ini. They contain cleaning rules for the Application section, Registry Cleaner and the Windows section respectively.

like the description of the documentation

    https://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/command-line-parameters

ccleaner /register seems also to be for business-edition...

/advanced with no function in my try with ccleaner free

    /scanreg... -"-

  11. if you start ccleaner with via prompt or start-->execute (in german "ausführen")

"ccleaner /tools" --> that means ccleaner started with

    e46c51-1451781562.jpg

--> that means ccleaner started with the "tools" -view

    9f452e-1451781768.jpg

    and so on...

    the same as with:

    ccleaner /options --> started ccleaner with options-view

    ... /cleaner --> started ccleaner with cleaner-view

    ... /registry --> started ccleaner with registry-view

    ccleaner /clean

    or /update

or /analyze seems to be only for the business-edition and technician-edition

  12. in german there is the same folder

    C:\Users\xyz\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\Recent

    :-) thanks willy2

    hello pieron,

either you are doing it as Willy2 has described it

    38718c-1451767922.jpg

    or

you uncheck the box in ccleaner --> cleaner --> applications --> applications --> office xy
