  1. Ok, here's a strange one (or I'm being dumb, very possible). The above brackets discussion made me spot the "Panda Cloud Antivirus (Other Logs)", and in the process of correcting the entry discovered the detect key doesn't seem to exist on my laptop, yet the entry shows up in CCleaner, which shouldn't be possible! Am I being really stupid here???:
  2. The innuendo in me (oo-er) really wants 'deeper' How about just 'Extra'?
  3. Same here, all of these exist on my Win7 laptop: [LocalService Cookies*] FileKey4=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies|*.*|REMOVESELF [LocalService Temporary Internet Files*] FileKey3=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files|*.*|RECURSE [NetworkService Cookies*] FileKey4=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies|*.*|RECURSE [NetworkService History*] FileKey3=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\History|*.*|RECURSE [NetworkService Temporary Internet Files*] FileKey5=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files|*.*|RECURSE [systemprofile Cookies*] FileKey2=%WinDir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%WinDir%\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies|*.*|RECURSE [systemprofile History*] FileKey1=%WinDir%\System32\config\SystemProfile\History|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%WinDir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\History|*.*|RECURSE [systemprofile Temporary Internet Files*] FileKey2=%WinDir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%WinDir%\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files|*.*|RECURSE Becoming a regular occurrence in this thread - "This doesn't exist on MY system so should be removed from winapp2". Not that it bothers me as I hardly bother with the main file since the GitHub move, makes it a PITA to copy new entries.
  4. Wow, what en exciting Easter egg (presuming that's the final destination on release)
  5. Well no one's ever complained here about the date format used in all the years it's been in existence, so I'd say it's a fairly correct assumption
  6. Those wacky developers - "Putting the text representation of the new Mozilla logo (“moz://a”) into the URL bar now sends the user somewhere"
  7. No one's been overly bothered by it before, I wouldn't worry about it
  8. I didn't know anyone did. Surely year-month-day is the only one that makes sense as it keeps files in numerical/sequential order
  9. Almost certainly graphics card settings (ie custom graphics settings for those games). Gfx cards will normally have settings for a number of games, whether installed or not. I'd leave them alone - best case scenario, graphics card software will just reinstall them. Worst case, graphics drivers may start complaining and playing up.

  11. FF 51.0: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/51.0/releasenotes/
  12. I'll get onto that as soon as my SSD has finished defragging
  13. Seems they've kissed and made up https://techtalk.pcpitstop.com/2017/01/10/malwarebytes-removes-pc-matic-pua-categorization/ And on a side note, seeing this all flare up I thought I'd see what the PC Pitstop scan was like now (having been a regular user for a long time years back). I think we can safely say they've abandoned it lol, don't think it's changed since I last used it a few years ago. Told me I had to defrag my drive (that's my SSD drive!), and apparently I only have two processes running on my whole computer!!! I knew I ran a lean machine, but that was news to me
  14. Seems it wasn't a FF specific issue, ctrl-tab wasn't working anywhere. Kinda sorted now (ctrl-tab fixed, but discovered a few shortcuts aren't working as they should, so still nailing down what's going on)
  15. Ctrl-Tab to cycle through tabs has stopped working at some point recently, anyone else had similar and have any clues on how to fix it??? (it's not an addon stealing the key combo as it doesn't work in FF safe mode either)
  16. I've not used PC Pitstop in years. Used to regularly use their pitstop scan thing, was signed up to their newsletter, regular on their forum, but the scanner and articles turned to s*** and they're just constantly pushing their crappy software. Unsubbed from their newsletter recently too as they're obsessed with trying to make ransomware the worlds scariest thing every single week
  17. "And no one knows more about beautiful things than me"
  18. It will be the greatest. Seriously, just the greatest
  19. Ooh, some of them answers are a bit whiffy
  20. PC Pitstop throwing their toys out the pram over it http://techtalk.pcpitstop.com/2016/12/16/malwarebytes-alert/
  21. Still no line breaks viewing with Notepad
  22. Just the first of a regular stream I suspect, finding the file is not straightforward on GitHub. And even then you can't download it cos of the formatting, you have to copy and paste
  23. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/50.1.0/releasenotes/
  24. And ANOTHER minor version release 50.0.2. Though I'll let them off with this one as it is at least a critical security vulnerability, so unavoidable lol
