  1. I'm curious also which do you guys use when using CCleaner. Do you use the regular deletion or do you guys use secure deletion? I'm using secure now, but wondering if I should just switch to regular since the secure 3Xpass takes a little longer than I'd like. If using regular, I'm assuming files still sit on your computer and are recoverable? In essense they take up space still? Whereas if you did a secure deletion no space is taken up? Thanks in advance for any suggestions, explanations guys........................................................
  2. I know standard has the Yahoo crapbar... what's the difference between basic & slim?
  3. Yep, in bed with Yahoo, not cool. Guess Yahoo, is following in Google's footsteps in snapping up the good free stuff online. Yahoo, always a step behind. I'm kinda leary of this program now. Never liked Yahoo, never will. For those of you who watched the last show of the Apprentice (Trump) this year, Yahoo, came across as a company only in it for themselves, their pockets and that's it. Get out of bed with Yahoo, before it's too late. Need to find a new alternative maybe.
  4. I can put it in the exceptions list and I'm forced to because it closes if I deny it internet access. I'd like to know why it needs net access? No need for it, if it's a simple basic tool that's made to delete things.
  5. When running CCleaner why does it require the internet access? I have a firewall that warns me of any programs accessing/wanting access to the net and CCleaner does. If i deny it, it closes. What does it need it for? Is it sending out the cleaning history to CCleaner? If that's the case, so much for privacy
  6. hmmm this is interesting http://insight.zdnet.co.uk/0,39020415,39237277-4,00.htm apparently you should have to rebuild/build a new pc, reinstalling the OS WON'T even help get rid of it. what about a clean full format, then a reinstall?

  8. Englishmen, i thought Tarun was one of them (developers), I read his replies at 430am, so relax, no big deal As for the EXIT button, my original statement still stands. I liked it, but I can live without it.
  9. I can see why it was liked, it was bigger than the X, which meant a faster EXIT. Which I liked. Like the other guy said, you guys are the ones in charge of it, so do whatever you want with it. Still a great program. I'll try to live without the EXIT button, even though I did personally like it.
  10. Was curious to see in real time how ccleaner would clean out the cookie contents of FF. unless the browser has to be closed, which is fine, but i would like to see a before and after, because i have cookiepanel as an extension and after running CC, some cookies were still in the cookie panel when i opened FF...thanks B) B)
  11. Does this only install when you're running a sony CD?...or can it happen on a site online? thanks for da'tip homey
  12. rridgley, cool explanation...now i always wonder when i saw the fbi leaving someones house with a computer, thinking, i hope he erased all his files...but i guess just emptying the recycle bin doesn't cut it lol

  16. Just wondering if CC actually gets out all the cookies? Reason I'm asking is b/c even after running CC the cookie button in FF and IE are not greyed out, so im thinking I better click "clear" to get rid of them, since CC didn't...or am i wrong assuming that it doesn't do its job...thanks.
