Does anyone know one ? I have a corrupted .pdf file and it keeps crashing an installation and I want to get rid of it.

I noticed that I can actually access the drive with "explore" if I manually assing it a drive letter.
-
I wanted to format it but the utility to actually format it does not detect it.

If you can get my iPod connection issues fixed, okay. Seriously, thank you all for trying. The one who will actually fix it will get a bag of cookies though.

Tried all of that. :| Oh well, created a thread on the apple forums. Apple forum http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...410034&tstart=0

Some people recommended that I download usbstor.sys and usbstor.inf How do I exactly install those ?

All my drivers were already up to date after the repair install. I just reinstalled my motherboard's drivers just to make sure. (ASUS A8N-SLI nVIDIA nForce 4)

I did it numerous times. Here's another screenshot; ironically enough, Windows does detect the iPod but not explorer.exe nor itunes.exe. JACOB is my iPod, don't ask. It worked fine before the repair install.

1. Fix the bloody progress bar. 2. Remember custom folders/files for cleaning. 3. Remember ignored registry entries in "issues".

After doing a repair install, I noticed that my computer no longer recognizes my 5th generation iPod "video". I tried: - Doing a reset on the iPod. - Reinstalling iTunes. - Uninstalling the drivers which Windows think is a USB mass storage device. - Trying another USB 2.0 port. Still doesn't work.

Was too much lazy to search for the exact name.

Problem is that because of the total idiot that I am, I forgot to write down my product key only to notice moments later that I couldn't find the bloody certificate on my Windows XP jewel case! I have a DVD image with my Windows XP installation but I don't want format my data. There is IMPORTANT data on my HD that I absolutely need to recover. I did a repair installation and now I must continue the Windows XP setup but I don't have the product activation key on paper... I tried Safe Mode and Last Known Good Configuration but it doesn't work anymore. Is there any way I could recover my Windows XP from my image file because I really don't want to format. Or is there any program that can boot with a floppy or CD and recover my product key or even recover a few files of mine... they are really important.

Is there any way to recover the product key from a Windows XP CD?

I can active the Quick lauch folder but it does not start with Windows.

He's talking about PowerPoint support, not Windows Media Player. Here's a good free converter: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/GXTra...er/1041539980/1

No, I don't have that wsuaupdater thingy and never had. My quick lauch toolbar still doesn't lauch on startup though.

I called a computer guru mate of mine and here's a possible fix: In Registry Editor (Start > Run... > regedit), navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon. Look for 'Name: Userinit'. In that, you will see 'Data: %system32%\wsaupdater.exe,'. Note that %system32% represents the path to the System32 folder. For example, if the path is C:\Windows\System32, then the data would be: 'C:\Windows\System32\wsaupdater.exe,' Instead of wsaupdater.exe, the data should contain userinit.exe, (including the comma at the end). Using the example above, the data should now read: C:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe. Make the change accordingly; close the Registry Editor and reboot your computer. "

I just uninstalled Java with Unlocker and reinstalled and it works like a charm now.

Yay, a few centuries and it be fixed. Even if I uncheck the option, I still can't get my quick lauch thingy to lauch with windows. Any way to fix it in regedit?
-
Both were unchecked. It all started with CCleaner though. Could the problem be because of winapp2.ini ? It hasn't been updated in ages.

Screen just locks up and I need to reboot the computer. Yes, I have admin access.
