The settings in Tools\ Drive Wiper vs. Options\ Settings are separate and do not impact each other cos they are different functions. What you elect for one will not affect the other. The settings in Options\ Settings apply only to Cleaner\ Windows tab\ Advanced\ Wipe Free Space. If you prefer wiping a drive with Tools\ Drive Wiper, be aware that the MFT free space will automatically be wiped and cannot be excluded.

  19. PlaysGames11, when running Defraggler did you check with TaskManager to see if another program was concurrently using much CPU? TaskManager/ Processes/ CPU and Applications Another investigative application is Process Explorer. Also, what is the model number of your CPU?
  20. Neither. They are both correct per their unique algorithms, so stay with one program. I doubt you'd see any performance improvement even if you defragged every other month. Modern drives are very fast. Seek time averages 9 milliseconds.
