thats funny. a relative of mine went through pretty much the same thing when they cancelled their account with AOL.

overall i think version 4 is better then the previous but i have encounterd a few bugs. 1. right clicking on tray icon not working after doing a manuel update. i have to stop/start services in order to make the tray icon clickable again. 2. i few problems with the font displaying properly in the scan window. 3. while i dont think its a bug but the downloads takes forever to install when compared to version 3.5. not a bug on Ewido's part but Spybot S&D detects the new version as spy/adware

HOLY CRAP!...8? did you ever think to wonder that the hackers out there try very hard to crack windows in order to exploit it..not so much that it's Microsofts fault that everyday someone has done their homework to find ways to exploit them.

again, as i said. if you are running legitimate software what is the deal? websites that you visit collects your info as well. take this banner for instance...it shows your IP address, operating system, web browser, and your intenet service provider.

what is the big deal here? if you have a legit copy of the software you shouldn't have to worry. i look at this way, if i had a business that were losing tons of money from pirated software i would do the same. in fact if it was me, i'd do it in a much more aggressive manner.

Spyware Doctor may appear to be a good program becouse it lists lots of objects that it finds when a scan is done but they are mostly false positives. Spyware Doctor always had issues with that.
