I recently installed a wireless router, with the wireless usb flash drive, on my son's laptop. We were able to connect and he was thrilled. Then we did the malwarebytes, ccleaner, to clean up the popups and porn and some hellacious antivirus that we did not choose. Now when we try to connect to the internet (wireless) the connection shows for our address and all, but "the page cannot be found" etc. error message comes up. I have not clue as to why the laptop won't get the internet. Please direct me to the right forum if I am not there here in the lounge. Thank you in advance. c.

Ok. Thank you. I finally got Malwarebytes to run in "SafeMode". And the Ccleaner too. Will the Malwarebytes clean out the Antivirus sofware that is on the laptop? Thanks. Cyndy.

Does this include laptops. My desktop is fine. I'm trying to figure out why my son's laptop is throwing tantrums.

I can't get past this error. The security on my laptop sucks. There are other message windows too, but lately this is the most prevalent. Cyndy

Either I'm not catching on very quickly or I am really ignorant. What do I do now? Step 3 says post to the forum: Peer-to-peer programs/cracks/keygens/warez : Maybe I'm just burnt out on trying to figure this mess out and/or I am really tired. Don't give up on me yet, please. Cynthia

Hi everyone. Just joined the forum. Also just recently downloaded ccleaner, defraggler, and recuv. In reading your post about the links for uninstallers I went to the first link. Uhm, I'm a little leery in downloading anymore free stuff since that's why I'm in the predicament I'm in now. I've got this dang virus stuff that keeps popping up and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. Also downloaded a horrible free malwarebot that I cannot get rid of. Was told by a computer friend that is isn't legit. Dummy me. I've been "print screen" and pasting to a blank word document, if anyone out there would like to give some free computer IT'ing to a newby I'd appreciate it. Also the desktop background is unchangeable. I cannot get my original desktop back. When I go to change it, the tab button is not highlighted. This is really urking me. Please, can someone help?
