Is there anywhere to do this? I have an idea that ccleaner could do. I know that Tweak Vista and Tweak 7 is out but how about something similiar like this but free made by piriform? That would be sweet.
I notice that after windows installs it takes longer to refresh the icons on my desktop, start menu, and in Windows Explorer. Would it be possible to add a icon cache cleaner to ccleaner? Thanks a million.
It filled my space too. I canceled it before it did it and unchecked the wipe free space box and ran ccleaner again. My space went back to normal after I did that.
When I run ccleaner the firefox icons disappear. You can click them but you can not see the pictures.
In the start menu, it does not delete the program completely after running ccleaner after its uninstalled. It says the name of the program in the folder and then it just says empty as a link after the folder no matter what program is installed.
I like it a lot but I wish I could defrag more than one drive at once or select all the drives I want to defrag so that it defrags all the drives one by one.
When I uninstall programs, I wish that ccleaner updated the install list or it automatically refreshed the list after uninstalling an item.
I could delete the entry but I would rather have it delete the entry automatically or refresh every so often.
Edit: Now it won't delete the entry after I click ok.
I use Smart Defrag and Auslogics Disk Defrag. Both products work on anything including Vista without Safe Mode.
A IT Specialist is just a title. It doesn't prove how smart an individual is with a computer. Its a job. Anybody can be a Information Technology Specialist with a lot a of time on the computer depending on how much time is spent. I spend an average 8 hours or more each day on the computer. Countless hours on a computer and it seems to be quite fun.
It reminds of the windows defrag but a lot faster.
It said that some files could not be defragged. It even tries to defrag files that are in use. It needs a skip option. I would like to defrag multiple drives at once either. I have a competitor defragger and it defrags everything completely with out issues.
I believe it does need quite a bit of work. I have been holding off on this product for quite a bit. I will use ccleaner and thats it for now. Recuva is ok but it needs to be a lot better as well.
I have had issues on xp service pack 3 and now i am on vista home premium service pack 1 but I am upgrading to service pack 2 soon. Its a 32bit system as well.
Thanks for reading.
