  1. Thanks. I don't actually have any dual listed ones installed, so was just wondering how it would behave if I did. Oh I remember, I think I even suggested something at one point that got added :-)
  2. What happens when Piriform officially adds a software title to ccleaner but there are already options for that enabled from the winapp2.ini? Does one override the other or do they both show up? Just looking at the new release, it says it added manycam, but I thought there were already options for that in winapp2.ini.
  3. Thanks Nergal. It wouldn't surprise me if something was bunk with my Office 2013 install, but figured I'd ask in case it was obviously self-inflicted by me without knowing it.
  4. Hello. Do any of the default options in ccleaner or the winapp2.ini settings when enabled clear the Favorites area of Outlook 2013? I noticed mine keeps emptying, not sure if it's a real problem or if maybe I turned something on in ccleaner I shouldn't have.
  5. Thanks. Would anyone happen to know what folder that file would be in most likely?
  6. If you guys run ccleaner and right-click the system tray icon, is the "Shutdown after clean" option checked by chance?
  7. On my machines I keep a lot of large files like ISO's and stuff that are rarely ever modified. It would be nice if there was an option in the move large files to also have an age check. That way larger files that keep getting updated regularly, like for antivirus, windows update databases, etc, wouldn't be put to the end, get fragmented when updated, then have to be put at the end again, over and over. Just a thought.
  8. I had asked a similar question in the recuva forum a long time ago, and someone told me the reason that Recuva still would find those file names but say it's unrecoverable is because in the MFT there was still a reference/pointer/something to the erased file, although Eraser did indeed make it not recoverable through Recuva, as you found out yourself. Hope that helps too.
  9. Looks like it's still broke in 4.10. And also if you do a Windows+L to lock your screen while it's cleaning and have the shutdown option checked, it doesn't shut it down either
  10. I'm not sure what exactly it's supposed to clean for that, but is there a way to have it clear that Open Recent menu? or maybe something in winapp2 that could be added?
  11. Cool, thanks guys. I wasn't sure if that was the right place or not. It's a free program, and as far as I can tell no ill effects from removing those thumbnails as the program just generates those when you add movies.
  12. Win7 64-bit, latest version of ccleaner, turned on the shutdown after clean option by right-clicking the tray icon, then closed the lid on my laptop (which is set to trigger no action via Windows), low and behold an hour later I came back to a smoking hot laptop. I have my screensaver set to lock my screen after 5 minutes, and ccleaner probably ran longer than that since my recycle bin was full but when I logged in to my still running laptop, ccleaner was not running still. What does ccleaner use to trigger a shutdown? i use psshutdown on my laptop to shut my laptop down hours later without issue, so i'm guessing ccleaner uses something else.
  13. Is there an official place to make suggestions for winapp2? I posted one in a thread about it, but nobody even commented on it, so i'm not sure what the right way to make a suggestion is.
  14. For the ManyCam cleanup, what about cleaning up the AppData\Roaming\ManyCam\Settings\MoviesThumbnails folder? It doesn't appear to remove thumbnails when you remove movies from it's queue in the program.
  15. Thanks for replying. I just tried it again and confirmed that is what it's doing. That's a shame. I liked it as an option for that instance only feature. Maybe someone from Piriform will chime in on why they changed it. I don't recall seeing that in the release notes, maybe it's a bug.
  16. Has anyone else noticed that if you right-click the system tray ccleaner icon when it's running from a "Run CCleaner" from a right click on the recycle bin, if you choose the shutdown after clean, the next time you go to run it it will also shutdown your computer? Just had my PC shut down on me and I believe that's why.
  17. that's a bad place to store them but thanks for letting me know how to get rid of that stuff anyway, I appreciate it.
  18. Any thought to adding some cleaning for Notepad++, like it's recent files and the old find/replace phrases you type in?
  19. That right-click option is perfect!! Didn't even realize that was there, and that will definitely work for what I need. Many thanks mta.
  20. Is there a way to have Defraggler only do the Move Large Files piece without touching all the other files?
  21. Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for.
  22. I see there is the free version and the business version. From what I can tell, the business version is the same as free but comes with support and some other enterprise friendly benefits. But for a business where you don't need support and only need it for a few machines, can you use the free version, or since you are a business you MUST buy the business version? I couldn't find a page that clearly spelled out the answer for me.
  23. I always show them too because curiosity gets the best of me when I run it. Guess I was just trying to think of some real world examples of when that would come in handy, other than to know it's in the MFT so it would show in the results.
