  1. Thanks, I will check into it. I just figured the settings would be the same for both, but, apparently not. I'm not exactly sure which files I should be deleting. If someone would be so kind as to show the default entries for Chrome in CCleaner, I could modify them for Chromium.

They are virtually identical. All CCleaner developers would have to do is change "Chrome" to "Chromium" in their cleaning algorithm. I have inspected the SQLite database files and the way Chrome saves is virtually identical to Chromium. The cynic in me wants to brush CCleaner off the same way they brush a very simple request off such as this.

  2. Two suggestions:

    1. In the advanced section or wherever, allow execution of external programs so external batch, python, etc. scripts or other things can be run on cleaning.

    2. Make "Chromium" cleaner module, not just Chrome. I've been trying to find a way to do this myself but nothing leaves my bookmark icons and gets rid of the speed dial thumbnails like your chrome cleaning algorithm. I tried to do it myself in python with SQLite but the chromium team stores the favicons in weird places, it's just a mess.

    That is all, thanks.

  3. How does CCleaner clean Google Chrome? Is there a file I can look at that will show me how CCleaner cleans up Google chrome. Because I use Chromium, and I would like to know what files CCleaner removes that keeps the bookmark icons but gets rid of the speed-dial screenshot thumbnails.

  4. I would like to request that CCleaner support Chromium so every person that uses chromium instead of Google Chrome doesn't have to make a custom entry. The files that are cleaned on Google Chrome are virtually identical to that of Chromium.

    Thanks.

P.S. It may even be as simple as changing the "Chrome" directory entry to "Chromium."
