  1. Hello, it has been a while since I have been here but I need to ask you a question. I have had the CCleaner on the lap top I always use but not on our Desk top Computer. I finally put the CCleaner on the Desktop and have a question about how the CCleaner works. On the Desktop, I log in on my side of the computer and have the programs that I want to use, and my husband logs in on his side and has his programs he likes. When I use the CCleaner that I installed on my part of the computer does it clean the entire computer, does it go through all of his programs too? I know this may be a silly question but while the cleaning process was going on, I saw my name mentioned on some of the cleaned items but did not see my husbands. I did see the word "shared" but not sure it that only applies to our "shared documents and picture files" or all of the programs in the computer. Thank you for your help. Shibaboy
  2. Hello, I upgraded the version of the CCleaner I was using and it is now working properly. Thanks Shibaboy
  3. I have been using CCleaner for a while and recently started having a problem. When I start to clean the files, I see the files that are being selected to be cleaned, flash on the screen. However, the percentage number at the top of the screen that tells you how many files have been cleaned so far stays at 0% and the cleaner does not stop. It is only when I cancel the cleaner because it will not stop or shut off, does it give me the number of files that need to be deleted, however, they are still in the computer because I have not given it the command to clean them yet. I have windows XP, and the only change to my computer is that I have upgraded my Internet Explorer to the newest upgrade. I dont remember the cleaner working this way before. I remember it stopping when it had cleaned 100% of the files. Thank you for your help. Shibaboy
  4. Andavari, I'd like to ask another question. Sorry! When I click on an item I think is the problem, there is an option of renaming the item. What can you rename an item. Does it have to be a technical name, having to do with the program, or can you rename it "anything"? Thank you, Bonnie
  5. Thank you, I'm glad I asked it just didnt feel right. Bonnie
  6. Dennis, boy do I wish I could use that because it would be all I would need in my life, but the class requires that you have a CS or better. If you absolutely cannot get a PhotoshopCS, the instructor will let you get by with an Adobe Photoshop 7.0, but she prefers you have the CS. The course doesnt take into account your experience level, the work is the same for all students. If your work isnt as good as others, it will show in your GRADES! I just want to pass the course so I can take digital photography. I have worked my entire life, had a great career, but was forced to quit due to health reasons, but I have always loved photography but too busy with career. Now I have the time to take photography classes, just have to get past this little bump in the road. I really appreciate the time you have taken trying to help me today. Bonnie
  7. Hi Dennis, I did install ERUNT as was recommended by one of you kind people, but I still want to be careful and not create more unfamiliar work for myself. I just finished using REVO to clean my recycle bin and c drive, so I will see what I end up with now! I did ask Adobe for assistance but they would not answer my "real" question. I guess because I had an adobe trial previously, (however, it was a different level photoshop program, a cs2) they talk around my real question(how do I get Adobe photoshop out of my computer?) and have considered my case closed. That was the first place I went for help. Thank you so much for your time. Bonnie
  8. Andavar, I found a few items I wanted to know if I should delete them. I don't know anything about these things and wanted your opinion if you dont mind. 9. Thank you VERY much. This will make the job so much easier. I have been working on it for days. Thanks again, Bonnie
  10. Corona, I have installed both programs you suggested and have used Erunt, however, I have been searching for hours have no idea where to find the Photoshop CS2 application that is showing in the Windows, Application section of the CCleaner program. I thought it would be in Windows somewhere, but have looked around for a very long time and I dont have a clue. Any ideas I can try? I really appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you, Bonnie
  11. Thank you, thank you, thank you, I have spent literally DAYS on this problem, and probably know all of my files, and know my computer overall better than I have ever known or wanted to know them since this started. I will be very careful. Thanks Bonnie
  12. Goodmorning DennisD, I had known about the small extractor tool, but even so, I uninstalled everything I had installed on the photoshop program, went to this site, and reinstalled photoshop through their link. I still get a partial install. A long time ago, I read somewhere on an Adobe help page about something that was left in a users registry when they used one of their photoshop programs. Perhaps I have something left over in my registry from the photoshop cs2 program that I uninstalled? Would the "application" left for the photoshop CS2 program in my Application section in the Cleaner stop any Adobe Photoshop? I have no idea, just guessing at this point. If you can think of anything I can try, I would appreciate it, if not, I appreciate the suggestions you have given me previously. Thanks, Bonnie
  13. Thank you I will look into this site. Bonnie
  14. Sorry my caps were on, probably due to age and that eye sight thing. Anyway, I already uninstalled the old version with the Control Panel, Add/Remove program function. Then cleaned out the registry with the CCleaner. I still cannot install the new program. Is there anything else that would stop the program from installing. I have gone through all of my files, used the Search function to make sure there were no Adobe Photoshop CS2 files left in the computer. The only file I find with that name is in the "application" section of the CCleaner. I have right clicked on it, it said analyze and clean, so I tried both. I found the offer at "photoshopsupport.com". Is what you were asking me? They are offering a "Try Before you buy on any Adobe product for a 30 day trial. Thank you, Bonnie
