it was truecrypt. I had truecryt and it wouldn't start my computer with some of the comodo products im assuming the comodo system cleaner did it. So i had to decrypt my computer from the rescue disk to work it again. Another problem however. My computer was working fine and just today it wont start again? whats the problem now since truecrypt isn't even on now. What should i do. I didnt download anything new either it obviously is something with comodo is this a good time to try Paragon Rescue Kit Express

so i take it that the windows vista cd needs to be bought since it didnt come with the system?

how does the windows repair cd look for vista? ubuntu live cd? whats this, is it a cd that will fix my problem or just allow me to save my stuff before i reformat the computer if i went down that road

ok guys so i installed a bunch of there things to test them out and now my computer won't even start, when i installed the antivirus and firewall and restarted the computer it worked fine but then i installed there other products on there webpage and my computer doesnt start now? i cant even get to safe mode or anything. I can only get to setup which is the f2 button in vista and f12 the boot menu. Windows is saying IT is preventing start up because there could be damage to the syatem if it starts up? it says the problem is, is UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME and windows is saying to remove any recent installations i have done which is funny because i cant even get into my own computer how i am going to uninstall anything without getting into my own computer

have you guys tried their software. I was suprised how good and how many features their products have(never heard of comodo untill now) and most are free too how good is that. I got there firewall with there antivirus but disabled the real-time scanner since i have avast another good product. I'm also going to try their other free products.

ok kind of a novice question but if i made copies before deleting would i have to delete the copies after if the deleting was all fine or would the copies automatically delete themselves if the deleting went fine of the originals

i never knew it repairs if thats what it does also. So how does it work I go to the registry section and click run and then whatever it finds it either deletes or repairs?

I want to remove programs with ccleaner since I heard it's more effective but whenever i try to remove a program with ccleaner my computer says I need admin priv to do it. Is there anyway around this? because it's a drag switching through accounts just to remove a program

whenever I check my desktop windows manager I always see windows explorer there taking up space for no reason. I use firefox and explorer comes on the desktop windows manager whenever I start my computer so I'm wondering how can I disable this?

ok im confused since im not too familiar with anti-viruses. what do you mean by always keep an anti-virus running, and an anti-spyware running? does that mean real-time protection like avast's on-access scanner and malwares bytes protection module?

ok so to clear things up. If i got windows defender, avast, malwarebytes, ad-aware I should disable all but one?

if I have avast, malware bytes and ad-aware can I use all 3 real-time protections or only 1?

i don't use windows explorer. I use firefox and heard windows defender only works well with explorer

I don't use exploror so is windows defender better for me than running ad-aware?

thanks, yea I was looking for the xp type style. I think i found it however you go to my computer and type just a dot and press enter, I did that and it seemed like it was displaying the same results as the xp type of way. You can also go to advanced search and click search everywhere and do the same dot type search but I think they are both the same. Let me know if i'm wrong

when I was using my brothers computer-xp it had a feature where I can go to start button on desktop and go to search files and press search without typing anything and every file would display by date on the computer I was wondering how can I do that with my computer-vista because it won't allow me to search blank like how xp did

I have avast and malwarebytes and they seem to have updates every week so I was wondering what happens to the previous updates do they get deleted automatically or are they still in my system and are useless and need to be deleted manually?
