  1. hmmmm, this is the reason why i asked. I installed it on my computer and the performance of my computer hasn't been as good since. It does report more detections though than any other program i used but these detections might be you know whats
  2. what are your experiences with it?
  3. its not bad, their current interface looks like a car radio which is not good
  4. thanks, what other sandbox type software is there out there besides bufferzone? its hard to find any also speaking of bufferzone, i noticed they had a free version that they dont offer anymore. Could i still use that for instant messenger etc or is that version garbage now that its not supported anymore
  5. its ok to use sandboxie with av's and anti malware protection? i got currently avast, malwarebytes, pc tools firewall and threatfire running?
  6. whats a good corrupt file fixer program? I managed to recover alot of files after accidentally installing windows on my first hard drive but some files are corrupt. im looking to fix jpg, avi, rich text document
  7. i like google and firefox, safari is good too
  8. what about threatfire? it seems like another alternative anti-virus but not like these ones.
  9. it obviously downloads your files fast but does it diminish the quality of the video or mp3? there has to be a downside to this no?
  10. just as fast as foxit? i dunno, pdf xchange has been waaaaaay faster than foxit for me
  11. it seems fishy because if it is what it claims to be why isn't it popular, i was looking at bufferzone but they want money from you
  12. dont mean to hijack your thread but i also came across a program i cant find. It is a unique program where you can surf the net and it claimed you will never get a virus it was called something shield i believe but cant rememeber it to find it. Not sure if anyone knows what im talking about. They claimed the product would work in a safe zone or something when surfing the net so you would never get a virus not sure if thats exactly what they said but it was similar. It was made specially for vista or windows, thats what i remember seeing on their site, in fact it was called vista so and so shield or windows so and so shield, something kind of like that
  13. i was tired of using foxit because it was slow and would freeze up always and adobe was really big and it wasnt fast either. So i found a pdf viewer thats really good i thought i would post it so others can try it, it is way better than adobe and foxit its called pdf xchange viewer. It is really small in size and runs really quick and has plenty of features, its free too. The portable version is 6mb imo this pdf is way better than any other http://www.docu-track.com/home/prod_user/P...ls/pdfx_viewer/
  14. everything is fine now i can open all the drives. Im just wondering why both hd's got reinstalled when i only clicked on windows to install my new hd only-the second one
  15. no my first hard drive was corrupted. So i bought a extra harddrive(internal) so i can transfer my data onto it through ubuntu and reinstall the first drive after that. So when i put in the extra hardrive i formatted it to ntfs through boot it cd and then booted up ubuntu but ubuntu didnt show my second hard drive for some reason so i thought maybe i needed to install windows or any os for ubuntu to regonize it so i installed vista on my second hard drive and then after installing vista it took me to create my username for my new account etc and when i logged into my second hardrive after setting up my logon details etc i right away went to start, computer and saw it saying 913 gb of 1tb(which is fine since i installed vista and normally harddrives come lower spaced than advertised) then on my d drive it says 436gb of free space from 500gb which meant that all my data on my first hard drive was gone? since i had only 252gb free space of data on that drive. So im wondering how can my first hard drive be reinstalled if i only clicked on installing vista on my new hard drive?
  16. thanks few more questions. so i can download software, view videos etc on the second one even if i didnt install vista on it? something weird happened when i first put in my second hard drive, i formatted it to ntfs and then installed vista on it, thinking i needed to install vista on it to make it work. So when i did that my FIRST hard drive got formatted too? even though i only clicked on formatting the new drive, do you know how this happened? because im scared to format anything, anymore with that happening. I have to say though my first hard drive was corrupted when i put in my second one but i dont think that'll cause that at all and im sure i clicked on formatting my new hard drive, it wasn't a mistake by me. It's hard to mistake a hard drive that says 500gb with one that says 1tb
  17. yea but what if your first hard drive gets curropted(virus, user mistake etc) can you still access and use the second one untill you fix the first even though you didnt install vista on the second one?
  18. so without installing vista and leaving it as is blank i would still be able to play music and videos and install software on it? yes i just got an extra hard drive for the first time in my life and am totally new to this
  19. i have an extra hard drive and people say there is no point in installing vista on the extra hard drive if vista is on the first hardrive but what if i want to use the second hard drive, i wouldnt be able to i assume since nothing is installed on it so i would only be able to just store data on it but not open it from there or anything right? i would only be able to open it from the hard drive with vista installed on it
  20. in case some people don't know there is a site called giveawayoftheday.com that gives away free software for 24 hrs each day with each day having another product out that would normally cost money to buy. Pretty cool
  21. s**t the second 1 thats 70$ was just free on gaotd a couple of days ago. Speaking of that site im going to post a thread for everyone about that site it's really good
  22. yes, it didnt find anything. My brothers computer xp you just got to do a search of files and folders and you'll find deleted files from past formatting etc. I don't know why vista cant do that. so im looking for a program to help me out
  23. whats a good program to use to recover data you lost by reformatting? im sure there is something out there, i remember coming across a program that would even revive a deleted partition
  24. thanks, i copied it to the memory card and then removed the program from the computer and then clicked on the program to open from the memory card and it opened up, does this mean it can be transferred to another computer?
