I was excited to try this version. It did find things that neith adaware, spybot, spysweeper nor counterspy could find; favorites hijacker and 2search. (The malware was in locked files) However when I went to clean the infections the program simpy quit; crashed without warning . I was using 1.0325 beta. Also, the tabs are not readable if the user is using certain skins.
Please report your BUG to the according section of our forum. We will fix it.

It's not even a Beta guys. It's just an Alpha version. People have to understand this. I think that it's better to start with bad and constantly show better and better product, than release something good but with huge delay and without updates.

Eldmannen have you not seen the other posts by arovax? He/She obviously works for the company that makes the programs. They come to this forum to promote their products and to get feedback about them(something more companies should be doing). The point of his topic was not really to learn more about security but to see what programs we use and to see what we would like in future programs. Sometimes I don't think you actually read what other people's posts.

Thing is we are just studying the demand in this field. It is quite possible that soon we will release a cheap and reliable solution for anonymous surfing and crypting during data transfer.
So any of you who have some ideas and would like to share them are welcome to write here how you see such an application and how you would like it to operate.

Why are you doing Live Update if you just installed the latest version?
PS: Maybe you just forgot to turn on your Internet...

You'd do better with a freeware product. Have it where people can donate if they like it though. If you have a worthy product, people will donate more willingly than to pay to get extra features that should naturally be included in a product.
That would also reduce on the warez of Arovax software if it was to be a pay version along with free.

Then let me suggest a feature or something to add into the definitions. You can have a list domains that shouldn't be blocked in a HOSTS file and if it is then Arovax AntiSpyware will report it. Same thing with the bad websites. If it's already blocked in your HOSTS file and you know it's bad then it shouldn't be reported.
For now You can use Arovax Shield for this.

Will the final version of this product be free, like your Arovax Shield, or will it cost, like your Arovax NoSpam?
I would test this product, but I can't run the risk of screwing up this PC as it is used for work purposes, when I have my own seperate PC which will be some time (make that a looooonnngggg time!) in the future, I wil gladly test products like this.
We decided to leave Arovax AntiSpyware a FREE product, though we are planning to release a Pro version in the future.

Not sure what you mean about the HOSTS file part but I'll try to explain it better. I think what your trying to say is that my HOSTS file has entries like:
badsite.com 127.0.0.1
badsite2.com 127.0.0.1
Well it doesn't. It has them like:
127.0.0.1 badsite.com
127.0.0.1 badsite2.com
The way Arovax AntiSpyware reports them is incorrect. Plus it's a legit entry.
Easy Anon Mail entries (also legit):
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]
What if 127.0.0.1 windowsupdate.com will be added? No good, huh. That is why we just inform you that this is abnormal, and its up to you how to act. In the next version we will have Ignore list function, so you will be able to solve this once and for good.

Well I just tested it again on my normal machine and although I like Arovax AntiSpyware it does a have couple of false positives that need pointed out.
In this image you'll notice it detected Easy Anon Mail which are legit lines that I set with Spybot. Now I know sometimes malware sets these entries but maybe a feature should be added to detect that the user has set these entries with Spybot. Now you'll see it also reports a Hosts hijacker when they are legit lines too. They all redirect to 127.0.0.1 so I don't visit those sites to get infected.
Edit: I also sent you the install link for 180 Search Assistant.
Domain name in hosts file does not have proper IP adress. This is abnormal situation. In this case you are offered not to check out this scan result if you did this on purpose yourself. In the next versions there will be ignore list. If you have any suggestions please let us know.

Wow...i am very impress with the speed of scanning...btw...maybe u guy should have a option to disable for putting shortcut in my desktop and quick launch...i don't usually put any programme shortcut in my desktop other than CCleaner and firefox...
While writing this engine and in constant process of optimizing and tunning it - our main goal besides the quality of Scan - was Speed. So i am glad you noticed speed of scans

My friend told me it detected a lot of false positives, even when fixing policies and the likes.

Ok since no one else has commented on the Scanner and Remover I will. I tried it out on a test machine with 180 Search Assistant on it. I started out by infecting myself with 180 Search Assistant on a website. I then ran the Smart Scan in Arovax AntiSpyware. I have to say it has the fastest scanner I've ever seen an Anti-Spyware app have. In my first scan it detected all of the main 180 Search Assistant files and folders. I had it remove them all and it asked me if I wanted to reboot because 2 folders couldn't be removed. I chose no and ran the Smart Scan again. It reported the 2 folders again and I had it remove them and it removed them the second time. There was 1 folder and 1 file that I could find that Arovax AntiSpyware didn't detect and remove. Overall I was really impressed by it. At the rate that Arovax AntiSpyware is going I could see it among the top 5 anti-spyware removers some time soon.

I want you guys to remember that this is NOT any last version of interface, don't think that it's a simple tool because of you dont see 10 tabs with tonns of plugins. It all will be added in release version. It's not the main part of such software. What is realy needed is included in this Alpha version offered you here for heavy testing.

Sign 1. Suddenly you discover a small device attached between the keyboard cable and its nest on the back PC panel.
Question. Did anybody offer you to set up a ?better? or ?faster? keyboard or special keyboard software?
Diagnosis. A Spyware that records all information entered from your keyboard (Keylogger) is installed on your PC.
Sign 2. Suddenly you discover a small device plugged into USB-port of your system block back panel.
Question. Did anybody repair your PC or offer you to ?try? new removeable data storage?
Diagnosis. A device which can record enough confidential information to compromise you or your company is installed on your PC.
Sign 3. You find expensive phone calls which you have never made in your phone bill.
Question. Does anybody use your phone or modem when you are absent?
Diagnosis. If you exclude the ability of secret phone calls, it means that a Dialer was installed on your PC without your notification. Most probably it had happened during your carefree surfing the Internet. When your modem is on, the Dialer connects with its service-provider offering sex-porno-services (video, audio, etc.) that require payment.
