This is cool and rather strange for commercial software, but hey I'll take strange if they're legally giving it away for free.

My only real gripe about Norton is the amount of stuff it installs. When I used it in my Win98 days it didn't hog resources on my old system although it did have a slow loading GUI after NAV 2000. I've never tried it on my WinXP system and never will.

@ englishmen That's very impressive with it blocking worms! Can you input your own things to block into PeerGuardian, such as websites, images, IP addresses, and IP Ranges? Also what is it's format for blocking, is it at all anything like what CookieCop and WebWasher can do with wildcards, which looks like this? *badsite* *.badsite.* *.badsite.com

I was watching the news and they showed footage of so many people whom didn't or didn't have the means to evacuate standing in line to enter the SuperDome shelter, however the good news was they reported a figure of about one million people who complied with the mandatory evacuation orders. I witnessed a tornado a few miles away from my location on an Illinois highway some twenty-five or so years ago when I was with my grandfather however at least there's a chance to get out of their path if you see them, I couldn't image a hurricane and don't ever want to experience one.

Mangix's big 7-Zip advert is too big, hadn't noticed that before with images turned off.

I don't mind a signature if it isn't in bold text, for me bold text in sig's is too distracting. Not a problem for me hence I turn images off until I need them. And if someone has unusually large pictures that annoy or distract me in their sig's I simply block that site from loading images.

Yes stricker moderation is needed on the forums. When the spam/warez url linker/malicous info posts by Mr. Clean started all over the forums I PM'd MrG and stated that the forum rules need to become more hard-assed, and with three offenses someone is banned, etc., and be something that new members should agree upon. His reply was that I had made good points. Now we'll just have to wait and see, however if a great majority of members wish for stricker rules that weed out useless members like Mr. Clean that have the potential of causing havoc on someones system who would stupidly follow his instructions and actually attempt to delete 'C:\Windows' we may just get what we want.
