  1. Hello, I am used to download CCleaner Portable from https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/portable But this is currently not working. Regards OLLI
  2. Hello, I suggested in this thread that CCleaner Cloud checks my systems for out-dated applications and warns me. This is very important because otherwise my system is highly vulnerable. Now Secunia PSI (a tool that checks if any installed and outdated apps have a known vulnerablility) will end his service. So I wrote that this is one more argument that CCleaner Cloud also checks for outdated applications: It is enough when CCleaner Cloud reports that updates are available. The threat level may come in a later version. OLLI
  3. Hello, I read that the Secunia PSI will no longer be available from April 20, 2018. This tool informed me about the risk (threat-level) of my outdated software. Here is the official forum posting: https://secuniaresearch.flexerasoftware.com/community/forum/thread/show/16037/psi_end_of_life So this is your chance to fill up this lack of an usable update manager! Is very frustrating when I write many (hopefully good) ideas in this posting and never got any reply from an official. Maybe I get an answer now. Best regards OLLI
  4. I created a support ticked 18 months ago and did get a non-satisfying answer. I decided to stop using CCleaner Cloud because: it does not have one very important feature, the Update Manager that keeps my system and installed apps up-to-date I posted many suggestions here in the forums but never get a reply from a Piriform employee (in a support ticket they wrote "we all read them" but getting no feedback is annoying) Answers from support tickets are also not really satisfying... I have to administrate in my family 6 computers and 4 Android smartphones. I will come back to CCleaner Cloud when you implement the update manager, when you offer an Android App (so I also can start CCleaner on Android via the web browser) and when you allow to execute applications on the target machine (start the virus scan remote via a command line). At the moment I am doing this via TeamViewer (I also suggested that you implement screen sharing and remote control, but executing applications would be a good start). Of cause I will get a Pro account where I pay a yearly fee when these features are implemented. But after I did not get any reply for the "Update manager" for nearly 30 months now, I doubt that this will be implemented. Regards OLLI
  5. The current vulnerabilities in processors (Spectre and Meltdown) show how vulnerable our systems are. All security experts say, that it is very important that users keep their system up to date (installed applications and hardware drivers). This is especially important for the web browsers. So it would be really cool when CCleaner Cloud helps me keeping my installed applications and also my drivers up to date. It also would be cool when CCleaner Cloud would inform me about BIOS updates (but this could be complicate).
  6. Hello orion7_11, thank you for this post. It is very interesting to see how Ninite Pro (https://ninite.com/pro) manages apps via the browser. Here Piriform can learn a lot for CCleaner Cloud. Ninite only supports some apps (about 50). I am preferring SUMo (http://www.kcsoftwares.com/?sumo) that supports more than 90.000 apps. And SUMo really works best (although it has not the best UI), I keep testing some update managers and SUMo really works best. I really would love to have such a feature in CCleaner Cloud (would be a reason to buy it). But I fear that Piriform will not implement this feature. After a re-install of Windows I did not install CCleaner Cloud yet. There are not many benefits in comparison to CCleaner Desktop (although I have 3 computers) so it is not worth buying it. Meantime I removed my computer from CCleaner Cloud after a re-install of Windows. But with the Update Manager feature I will definitely buy a 3 computer license! OLLI
  7. I was talking about CCleaner Cloud, not the normal CCleaner. Maybe wrong forum?
  8. Hello, the actual Trends Report from Avast shows that the majority of "most-used applications" is not up to date: http://files.avast.com/files/marketing/materials/pctrendsreportjan2017.pdf Many of these applications (like Java, Flash, Shockwave) are abused by criminals. This shows how important an "Update Manager" is. Avast has an built in Update Manager (http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-pctuneup#updates). The "Kaspersky Software Updater" is now out of beta (https://www.kaspersky.com/free-software-updater). And Piriform offers nothing (yet). Regards OLLI
  9. Hello mta, hello Andavari, Here are the dates of one of those files (I have a German Windows 7, so I just translated the days but nit the time format): Created: Friday, ‎10. ‎March ‎2017, ‏‎08:47:37 Modified: Friday, ‎10. ‎March ‎2017, ‏‎08:48:03 Last Access: Friday, ‎10. ‎March ‎2017, ‏‎08:47:37 Although I have set "only delete files older than" to 168 hours this file is offered for deletion. I noticed that one log file created today and an other log file created yesterday afternoon is not offered. So CCleaner Portable seems to ignore my setting and does delete files older than 24 hours. The same problem occurs no matter if I have the setting "Only delete files in the in the Windows Temp folders older than 24 hours" (in the Advanced Options) enabled or disabled. Is this a bug? Regards OLLI
  10. Hello, I really gave up hope! Piriform staff don't reply to my suggestions for CCleaner Cloud here in the forums. So indications that this suggestion is implemented. Nothing. OLLI
  11. Hello, could the amount of "Custom Files and Folders" be a problem? I am using CCleaner Portable at work and I have added for all my colleagues their personal directories. I have about 20 to 30 "Custom Files and Folders" set up. Regards OLLI
  12. Hello, They get listed and all get deleted. So this is not how CCleaner should work. I added the path via the settings dialog (I did not manually edit the ini-file). OLLI
  13. Hello, here is my line: Include2=PATH|C:\temp\guianalyser\log\|*.log||1|0|168 In the folder C:\temp\guianalyser\log there are 12 log files. They are all from 1st of March, 2nd of March and 3rd of march. If I start CCleaner and right-click on "Custom Files and Folders" then all 12 files are listed. Although they are not older than 7 days. Regards OLLI
  14. Hello, unfortunately I don't have admin rights in our company. User-Rights are very restricted, I even can not open the registry or install software. This is the reason why I use CCleaner Portable. So I can not use any tool that changes system settings. Is there nothing that CCleaner can do? If I set up to only delete files older than 24 hours then this is working (tested on other folders). Could it be the problem that I set up 168 hours? Regards OLLI
  15. Hello mta, I am wondering why you are asking this. Because I wrote: So, yes I have checked this options. CCleaner did found files to delete, but I selected to delete only files that are older than one week. And these files are 2 days old. Regards OLLI
  16. Hello, I have a problem in CCleaner 5.27.5976 (64Bit) but I am nit sure if this is a bug. I am working with an application called GUI-Analyser (programmed by my company). The GUI-Analyser creates log files in the folder C:\temp\guianalyser\log. These log files can be really huge, so I Included the folder C:\temp\guianalyser\log in the included folders. I want to keep the log files for one week (in case there is a bug and the IT needs the log files) so I checked the checkbox "only delete files older than" and entered 168 hours. This should only delete LOG filed that are older than 7 days (7 days * 24 hours = 168 hours). After creating this rule I deleted all files in C:\temp\guianalyser\log. After that I started the GUI-Analyser and worked with it (this was 2 days ago). Today I started CCleaner and clicked on "Analyze". CCleaner found some files in C:\temp\guianalyser\log but these files were created 2 days ago (21st of February). Normally these files should be ignored (they are not older than 7 days)? Regards OLLI
  17. Hello, I know that comment lines in INI files are possible when I add a ";" in front of the text. Is this also possible for the ccleaner.ini? Regards OLLI
  18. Hello, for the initial version of the update manager it would be enough if I get a notification (the information that a new version is available). In a later version the "one click update" (that downloads and installs the application with one click) can be implemented. If there are applications that have "License Agreements that need to be accepted before deployment" then it would be OK if the download page is displayed (so the user has to download this software manually). Regards OLLI
  19. Hello TwistedMetal, If I get that right this line is from the OLD entry, right? The folder c:\NVIDIA (assuming my system drive is c:) does not exist. Please tell me why you added it again. If you exclude the folder C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation then 5 GB of crap files are not cleaned. If I look in this folder and sort by date then I see that there are 23 folders with the date 06th January. Next there 11 folders with the date 14th December. So if you could tell CCleaner and also CCleaner Cloud to remove everything except the folders with the newest date (I would call this "the last version") than this would be perfect. Maybe it is necessary to keep "the last version" and the "version before the last version" (so you have the last 2 versions). I asked in the NVIDIA Forums some days ago what files can safely be deleted, but did get no answer yet. As soon as I get an answer, I will post it here. Regards OLLI
  20. Hello TwistedMetal, for CCleaner Cloud I created a support ticket and linked to this forums posting. I asked them to fix this issue in CCleaner Cloud too. Thank you for your posting the correct folders so the CCleaner staff can use them. Regards OLLI
  21. Hello TwistedMetal, just to give you some results from my system: %ProgramFiles%\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2: 4,92 GB %ProgramData%\NVIDIA Corporation\Downloader: 5,40 GB %ProgramData%\NVIDIA Corporation\Crash Dumps folder does not exist (the correct subfolder is "CrashDumps" without the blank) so maybe you add both versions (with blank and without blank) So in total 10,32 GB are freed when you add the new NVIDIA folders Important Question: will your changes also be applied to CCleaner Cloud? Regards OLLI
