  1. I was under the impression that if Recuva can scan a device it will return anything it finds regardless of extension (this is scanning without using the wizard). After all it's just a stream of data to Recuva, isn't it?

    If the "index" of the file isn't overwritten it can be recover regardless the extension but if the "index" IS overwritten then it can be recovered only if it is a supported type and cardrecovery support it =>

    Supported Photo Types:

    Common Video Formats: AVI MPG MOV MPEG ASF MP4 3GP MTS

  2. I need to recover videos from a formatted hardisk inside a digital camera.

    I have enabled deep scan but Recuva doesn't see it.
