  1. No problem. Just bookmark this thread, and check back once in a while for updates. Remember to bookmark it on the 1st page so you go to the first page every-time you click on the bookmark.
  2. See my post above. The latest winapp2.ini file is found on the first page. Its update date is November 4'th, 2010, its the latest version. Just right click on the link and hit save link as, and it will save it as an .ini file. Or you could just click on the link, hit select all(Then copy) in your browser, then paste all the text into a text file. Then you have to change the file extension to .ini. The save link as is 10X easier though.
  3. CCEnhancer is a small program that downloads and installs the latest Winapp2.ini file to your CCleaner program folder. The winapp2.ini file is a file that adds support for more programs in terms of cleanup. In other words you'll be able to clean more crap off you pc. I dont think CCEnhancer installs itself to your pc, you have to run the exe file every-time you want to update the Winapp2.ini file. Thats why i just update the Winapp2.ini file manually, and put the Winapp2.ini file in my ccleaner program file folder myself. As for winapp2.ini' file being updated each time CCleaner is updated, the answer is no. CCEnhancer is not officially part of CCleaner, its not endorsed by piriform. So no it wont. When i un-install an old ccleaner and install a new one, i move the Winapp2.ini file to my desktop beforehand. Then after i un-install the old cccleaner and in-stall the new version, i move the Winapp2.ini file back from the desktop to the ccleaner program folder. Is it safe, do i use it? Yes i use it, and its fairly safe, but there's no 100% guarantees its totally safe.
  4. Good suggestion, but Winapp2.ini could weed out the less desirable ones when he updates the Winapp2.ini., and maybe trim it once in a while. Also who uses the full Winapp2.ini anyway? I just use it as a resource for making my personal Winapp2.ini. Picking and choosing ones that apply to me.
  5. Exactly. All you have to do is add the new stuff that applies to you, to the latest update. Thats what i did. You don't need an update everyday.
  6. Thanks for the update. I see you took the version# and dating suggestion. Thank you so much.
  7. Also, it be cool if the date and a version # was included in the actual winapp.ini file itself. Like this: ; Piriform CCleaner: winapp2.ini application cleaning file add-on ; ; Version 1.0 2010-11-03 ; ; ; Notes ; --------------------------------------- ; LangSecRef ; 3021 = Applications ; 3022 = Internet ; 3023 = Multimedia ; 3024 = Utilities ; 3025 = Windows ; 3026 = Firefox/Mozilla ; 3027 = Opera ; 3028 = Safari ; ; IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ; If you make any cleaning entries that drastically slow down ; CCleaner removing them will allow CCleaner to function faster. ; Also removing cleaning entries for software you no longer ; use or have installed will allow CCleaner to function faster.
  8. I noticed some stuff the adobe flash player script doesn't clean. Should they be cleaned? What do you guys think? Heres where they are(XP): c:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#Security\FlashPlayerTrust\ c:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\Sys\ c:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Application Data\Adobe\Flash Player\AssetCache\9KPR9GKT\
  9. That first less detailed one. I thought that just removed logs?
  10. That's what i'm thinking. Why would you want to get rid of a backup-anyhow? If your did, you can get rid of them from in the program.
  11. I improved the Auslogic free Utilities entry. I added the removal of logs for the Disk Defrag. So now it removes the logs and reports. [Auslogics Free Utilities*] ; Disk Defrag, Registry Defrag, and System Information LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKCU\Software\Auslogics Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Auslogics\Disk Defrag\Reports|*.* FileKey2=%appdata%\Auslogics\Disk Defrag\Logs|*.* FileKey3=%appdata%\Auslogics\Registry Defrag\Logs|*.* FileKey4=%appdata%\Auslogics\Registry Defrag\Reports|*.* FileKey5=%appdata%\Auslogics\System Information\Reports|*.* Question!! If i don't have Registry Defrag or System Information on my system, can i delete those lines in the winapp2.ini?? Also when i added the line for the removal of the logs i re-ordered the numbers on the filekeys. Is that alright? Was filekey 1,2,3,4,...Now its 1,2,3,4,5. I kept the programs alphabetized, and just re-ordered the numbers 1,2,3,4,5.
  12. Ill test it in the morning, but thanks for all your help.
  13. I'm assuming the bottom one is the corrected one? [jv16 PowerTools 2010*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2010\jv16PT.exe DetectFile=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\jv16 PowerTools 2010\jv16PT.exe Default=False FileKey1=%userprofile%\|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak.LOG FileKey2=%userpfofile%\|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey3=%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\|UsrClass.dat.jv16pt_bak FileKey4=%systemdrive%\documents and settings\LocalService\|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak FileKey5=%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\|UsrClass.dat.jv16pt_bak FileKey6=%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak FileKey7=%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\|UsrClass.dat.jv16pt_bak FileKey8=%windir%\system32\config\|default.jv16pt_bak FileKey9=%windir%\system32\config\|software.jv16pt_bak.LOG FileKey10=%windir%\system32\config\|software.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey11=%windir%\system32\config\|system.jv16pt_bak FileKey12=%windir%\system32\config\|system.jv16pt_bak.LOG
  14. Ok, maybe someone else who also has JV16 can shed some light on it.
  15. Seems to be right, but i dont have these files: FileKey1=%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.bak_jv16pt FileKey1=%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.bak_jv16pt FileKey2=%userprofile%|NTUSER.DAT.bak_jv16pt FileKey3=%systemdrive%\documents and settings\LocalService\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.bak_jv16pt FileKey4=%systemdrive%\documents and settings\LocalService|NTUSER.DAT.bak_jv16pt FileKey5=%systemdrive%\documents and settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.bak_jv16pt FileKey6=%systemdrive%\documents and settings\NetworkService|NTUSER.DAT.bak_jv16pt FileKey3=%systemdrive%\users\LocalService\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.bak_jv16pt FileKey4=%systemdrive%\users\LocalService|NTUSER.DAT.bak_jv16pt FileKey5=%systemdrive%\users\NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.bak_jv16pt FileKey6=%systemdrive%\users\NetworkService|NTUSER.DAT.bak_jv16pt FileKey7=%windir%\system32\config|SAM.bak_jv16pt FileKey8=%windir%\system32\config|SECURITY.bak_jv16pt FileKey9=%windir%\system32\config|default.bak_jv16pt FileKey10=%windir%\system32\config|software.bak_jv16pt FileKey11=%windir%\system32\config|system.bak_jv16pt The program files directory is right, just can locate those files. Is it because i dont have vista or windows 7 or some feature of jv16 im not using?
  16. It says the version is 5 in the Winapp2.ini. UltraISO is on version 9. I saw the JV16 power Tools in the Winapp2.ini also, but the currant version of JV16 power Tools is 2010, not 2009. http://www.macecraft.com/
  17. Yeah thanks back_track. Did you test them? Now if i can only get JV16 Power Tools and Ultra ISO updated.
  18. I don't know how to write the code for it, could you update: Gimp, JV16 Power Tools, OpenOffice.org, and Ultra ISO. It's in the Winapp2.ini File, but the version is outdated.
  19. Ok, thanks. Thanks good to know. A great way to do it. Smart thinking guys.
  20. Id rather still have it there, as im staying out of the drive wiper section. If i accidentally hit wipe everything, i would die.
  21. I got a question about drive wiper. What is the difference between using the wipe free space in the drive wiper .VS the wipe free space under the windows tab? Do they do the same thing?? Also i noticed a graphic mistake in the ccleaner icon. Missing some red here. Looks like it wasn't totally filled in.
  22. Ok, that makes sense. So, if i was installing an old version it would let me know there's a newer version available. Would it let me still install the old version?
  23. I just installed the latest CCleaner (2.29.1111), and noticed a different install behavior. I checked off all the options i wanted like no automatic updates, no ccleaner in the recycle bin, no yahoo tool bar, etc.. Then i hit install and it poped up a firewall warning. The install file was trying to connect to the internet. The install progress window said something about updates. I don't understand if i unchecked automatic updates, why is it trying to connect to the internet? I don't think this ever happen before?
  24. I did a Wipe Free space with CCleaner. Then I did a scan with Recuva, and it still found deleted files. Shouldn't a Wipe Free space have deleted all the deleted files? I even got rid of them with recuva and more seem to show up after. Im not talking about the MFT files.
