  1. [since 99% of all Winapp2.ini users are happy to accept that at least 90% of WinApp2.ini is useless bloat because they only have 10% of the applications installed,

    an extra 1% on top of 90% is not a priority.

    Exactly. I have a custom WinApp2.ini with only the entry's that apply to the programs i have. I would never use the full WinApp2.ini. Wouldn't make sense. I use the full WinApp2.ini as a sort of reference library.

  2. I realize the "argument" for having it detect the .EXE file installed path as it has some logic, however the problem with that is with custom installations. For instance I absolutely never install any Freemake software into the default location because they have a COM folder which would get shared, and if using all their software (all three programs) it can really get out of wack with version issues when one program is newer than another, I've seen their setups fail multiple times because of it, or installing a new version of one of their programs makes the others unusable, and the only solution is to install each into its own unique folder.

    I install(&re-install) freemake video converter, and freemake audio converter in the default locations, and never had any issues. Though, i do a clean un-install of both programs when i install new version.

    [Freemake Audio Converter (Logs)*]

    LangSecRef=3023

    DetectFile=C:\Program Files\Freemake\Freemake Audio Converter\FreemakeAudioConverter.exe

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Freemake\FreemakeAudioConverter|*.txt

    [Freemake Video Converter (Logs)*]

    LangSecRef=3023

    DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Freemake\Freemake Video Converter\FreemakeVideoConverter.exe

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Freemake\FreemakeVideoConverter|*.txt

    Shouldn't Freemake Audio Converter have the % in the DetectFile line like Freemake Video Converter does? Shouldn't it be DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%, not DetectFile=C:\Program Files?

  3. The new version of ccleaner is still doing this. If you have duplicate files with the same file name, ccleaner displays incorrect results for what was cleaned in the recycle bin. If you hit analysis, it shows correctly how many files that are in the recycle bin, and what will be cleaned. But when you actually clean them, the displayed results of what was cleaned is wrong.

  4. Yesterday I downloaded and installed version 2.07.346. The analysis phase for C: is much slower compared to version 2.06. All other drives are OK, including the pair of PATA drives. I'm not saying this is a bug but it is a question.

    I was just about to report this. The analysis phase takes forever now. It use to take like 10 seconds and now its like 50 seconds.
  5. I have defraggler installed on two computers. One is on an older winXPSP3, and the other one on a newer WinXPSP3. The newer one shows the drive health status, and the older PC doesn't. The old PC doesn't even have the drive health tab at all.

  6. I made some entry's for some AnvSoft Products.

    [AnvSoft*]
    LangSecRef=3023
    Detect=HKCU\Software\AnvSoft
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any Audio Converter|*.*
    FileKey2=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any DVD Converter Professional|*.*
    FileKey3=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any Video Converter|*.*

    [AnvSoft(Logs)*]
    LangSecRef=3023
    Detect=HKCU\Software\AnvSoft
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any Audio Converter|*.log
    FileKey2=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any DVD Converter Professional|*.log
    FileKey3=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any Video Converter|*.log

    [AnvSoft(Database)*]
    LangSecRef=3023
    Detect=HKCU\Software\AnvSoft
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any Audio Converter|*.db
    FileKey2=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any DVD Converter Professional|*.db
    FileKey3=%AppData%\AnvSoft\Any Video Converter|*.db

    The first one deletes everything, the second one deletes just the logs, and the lasts gets rid of the database. ***Warning*** deleting the database slows the programs(adds a few seconds) load time, as it has to rebuild the database.

  7. I see [adobe flashplayer more*] was removed from Winapp2. Shouldn't these be removed anymore?:

    So whats the scoop guys?? Delete or not delete?

  8. are not out of place, they're all there with an imaginary "Mozilla" prefixed before each of them. No use actually putting it there since they're under LangSecRef 3026

    Oh, ok. I know they're under LangSecRef 3026, but for a better flow for all the entrys before and after, if Mozilla Firefox was added to the names? (i.e. Mozilla Firefox Crash Reports, Mozilla Firefox Dump Files)

    Also, shouldn't Octoshape and Opera More* be with the O's?

    Also right after [Opera More*] in Winapp2.ini, it gets out of order chronologically. Goes from O's back to C listings.

  10. Hello,

    I moved the cache of firefox to another location.

    I can not find how to change the winapp2 to allow cleaning.

    Can anyone help me.

    Thanks

    Go to options and select include. Click on add and use the drive or folder option. Hit browse and find your new location of the cache folder and select it. Where it says options select "include files and subfolders". Then hit ok. If you haven't done so already check mark "custom files and folders" in the advanced section.
