  1. I see no direct option to do this. The only option is to "wake" sleeping programs, but it seems "CCleanerPerformanceOptimizerService.exe" will always run in the background, Or must I uninstall CCleaner and never enable CCleaner Performance Optimizer, again? The above should be included in the FAQ, but it's not.
  2. From experience, I no longer allow CCleaner to automatically delete issues it discovers while performing Registry Cleaner task. The other day I was curious to see what would come up. I noticed some invalid firewall entries. Not long ago, I reset my Windows firewall to default so I'm a bit puzzled why there would be any invalid entries given firewall entries (should've) been removed after the reset. Is it ok to delete the invalid firewall rules?
  3. I was wondering this myself and I have had compact databases disabled (unticked) for a while now. For reference, in the past when I had it enabled for Chrome. Chrome was very unstable, much more than now. FF seems to be the most stable but also the slowest.
  4. @nukecadLol. Let's not become gaslighters or play the blame game. Which is what alpha males love to do. I can't control how you perceive or interpret something or if it's one dimensional. My response: you didn't comprehend or think analytically that one can launch the app to check (manually) for updates (at every launch). That's what I meant. Are you happy now? Would you like a cookie and some milk? Anyway, I hope you're not turning into a grammar or spell check Nazi.
  5. Sorry. T wasn't clear. That's when it happens when I force a manual check. Thanks, I think that's what I'll (eventually) do but hopefully enough users will complain, and the developers will address this minor nuisance.
  6. Just to clarify, It's a false message. It happens about every other time I open it. CCleaner is in fact updated.
  7. Latest update is triggering this at every launch or every other launch even though it's been updated previously to version 5.91.9537.
  8. Thanks for that! This is really helpful. Moments ago Chrome was affected too, but after running the CCleaner the second time it was fine. It seems the sluggishness of Chrome cleaning is random at times and it seems Chrome is becoming more bloated with each update.
  9. Hi. Thanks. Indeed, it's a pain to try to replicate. It seems it may have something to do with Internet Explorer (I have Edge not IE). So far, if I untick the cleaning settings for Internet Explorer cleaning, CCleaner is snappy. But it annoys to know IE is running in stealth mode in Windows 11 and I have no idea why or what it's doing even when I'm not using Edge.
  10. Hi. It's Custom Clean. Nothing changed in my settings (that I did) before the last update. There is nothing that appears to be sticking that I can see. The issue seems to be intermittent (today) though. Argh.
  11. Even with a very fast NVMe drive, it's suddenly become terribly slow. I'm not sure where the delay is but it's slow when doing its cleaning using the default settings on W11, Chrome, FF, and Edge. Cleaning does speed up quite a bit (but not as zippy as before) if running the cleaning a moment after the previous occurrence/start-up.
  12. I am now starting to delete my cookies manually by going to OPTIONS, COOKIES ON COMPUTER and selecting all the cookies. Then I delete them. I ran CCleaner analyzer afterwards and I seen that Edge cookies remain in particular: microsoftedge.microsoft.com and chrome.google.com Again these cookies appear in Edge (it has the Edge logo). Chrome cookies appear to be fine though.
  13. Thanks. It appears to be new though for CCleaner. I wonder if it's because how there are different "versions" of Chrome now where some systems aren't able to access individual cookies any longer and the cookies settings including site settings too. I posted this anomaly in another thread:
  14. I noticed this in the latest version of CCleaner that it was cleaning this path. Is this something new within Chrome or has it always been there?
  15. I don't use this handy feature much except when reinstalling my system. However, I recall not that long ago where my list generated by CCleaner and saved as install.txt is now saved as one huge paragraph and it makes the list all but useless when viewing despite enabling Word Wrap in Notepad.
  16. Just an FYI. If you do a fresh new clean install of Chrome, you will no longer have access to all your cookies. It's also random if any updates will remove your cookies that have been stored in Chrome. I am not referring to Chrome (quasi) cookie list. In other words, our reliance on CCleaner to view and clean Chrome cookies has never been greater. Damn Google! I haven't tried installing a very old version of Chrome (2 or more years old) and then upgrading to see what happens with the cookie option.
  17. Ah, yes, I know. In the other thread though, you said it's fixed, when it's not.
  18. And in turn, this will be an issue for the developers of CCleaner: https://www.ghacks.net/2021/09/04/google-plans-to-replace-chromes-cookies-and-site-data-controls-with-an-inferior-option/ The cleaning of cookies [chrome://settings/siteData] in Chrome is slowly being phased out in favour of this: [chrome://settings/content/all?search=cookies]
  19. Still not working properly. Go to the following URL: chrome://settings/content/all?search=cookies and you will see all sorts of cookies. There's a new feature in Chrome where you can sort cookies by: Data Stored Most visited Name
  20. Still not working properly. Go to the following URL: chrome://settings/content/all?search=cookies and you will see all sorts of cookies. There's a new feature in Chrome where you can sort cookies by: Data Stored Most visited Name
  21. Thanks Haappy, The above list (was a PIA to manually enter) and was working for a few days but not anymore. I checked and for whatever reason, maybe I unticked it but Custom Files and Folders was unticked, It's cleaning now.
  22. For eediots like me, how and where exactly do we add the above to CCleaner? Are there any instructions on how to add these entries and do they have to be added one-by-one or can we just copy and paste? CCleaner's interface is quite archaic.
