  1. I restored the registry and that has worked once I rebooted. I will have to do some research to see if other problems exist. That and read about CCleaner before using it again. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I downloaded and ran the latest version of CCleaner. I am using XP/SP2. I didn't realize that Cleaner would get rid of a lot of the file associations. I backed up the registry before running Cleaner. I merged that backup but that hasn't fixed the problem. I did reassociate some of the file extensions, like .exe but what I really want to do is restore the registry to prior to CCleaner or find some other way to quickly reassociate all the file extensions, .lnk, etc. thanks if you can offer any suggestions.
  3. Greetings, I tried out CCleaner today and after rebooting my machine no file extensions work. So I cannot open files or run .exes or do anything else. How can I fix this? thanks
