  1. I can't see it. It says "404 File not found" Awesome 404 page. I read it all too.
  2. OMG. This is awesome. Thanks. This is the changelog of the first 9.0.0.x version though. I use Premium Security Suite, and the latest changelogs Softpedia has are from version 7.x
  3. lol Yeah! I know. I forgot that one. Btw, I just noticed I wrote D:\
  4. First of all, uninstall CCleaner v1.32.345 and install the latest version. CCleaner v1.x has been discontinued and may have a lot of bugs and problems. Get the latest version at this link. New versions of CCleaner are released each month. You should also go to Windows update and update your Windows XP to SP3. This might also solve your issue.
  5. You to have two very large files. Try this: Go to Options > Defrag tab, and select "Move large files to end of drive". Note that this process will take some time to complete.
  6. Hi. Try this: First, run a clean with CCleaner. Then run a "Quick Defrag" and let it finish. I hope this helps.
  7. Perhaps you uninstalled some programs, or a big program, leaving all this values pointing nowhere. I recommend you make a backup before cleaning, and see how it goes. If you have any problems just restore them. Btw, welcome to the forum.
  8. Changelog = we meant this. Btw, you can see the files AntiVir was unable to scan in the "Warnings" section of the scanlogs.
  9. Yeah! Thanks. Premium Security Suite updated to 9.0.0.381 All Antivir Desktop downloads here. @Ice: They don't make changelogs. I wish I could see a changelog too.
  10. Here's what I did to resolve this problem: [Prefetch]LangSecRef=3025Default=FalseFileKey1=D:\WINDOWS\Prefetch|*.* lol Note that "Default" = "False". I only empty the Prefetch when Windows startup gets sluggish. Then I do a restart to rebuild the Prefetch and Layout.
  11. Check the Piriform Docs site for more info on which cleans what.
  12. Yes, all this feature does is mess up your computer. It makes you think that you are really freeing some space, but you are really not. It removes the references to the restore points, but not the files, which makes you think: Why keep the files if I can't do a system restore? and Why not leave the references there if they actually don't take that much space? I use Windows Disk Cleanup to clear/clean restore points. I suggest you and everybody to do the same. For those of you who have been deleting the Restore Points with CCleaner, I want to show you something: Go to "My Computer", right click your "Local Disk" (C:) and select properties. Type down the "Used space" and the "Free space" (the GBs, not the bytes) Now (right there in the properties window) click on the "Disk Cleanup" button. Wait until it loads. Now go to the "More Options" tab, and, in the "System Restore" section, click the "Clean Up" button. Wait until it finishes and then click cancel (or the X). Now compare the last "Used space" with the new one. Right? I bet you just cleaned up hundreds of MB of leftovers left by CCleaner. I really like CCleaner and I really wish this gets fixed the right way.
  13. Hi David. Make sure that "Close program after cleaning" is not checked in Options > Advanced. Yes, there is a problem with the CCleaner.com contact form. Maybe if one of the Admins see this topic they will fix it. (For the Admins: the problem is recreated by taking some time writing a message and clicking send)
  14. You can try with FF 3.0.12 (it's still being updated) Just a suggestion.
  15. Don't download this! Source (Restrictions tab at bottom) System requirements: I downloaded and installed and all you can do is burn just files, and copy disks without protection. This thing sucks! Here are some screenshots I stole from Filehippo.com Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2 All the tabs at the top tell you to upgrade, and link you to the Nero online shop!
  16. I forgot to say thanks. This one is great!
  17. Is this a copy/paste? I love it. It looks awesome! But everybody wants to take a look at what they are cleaning, and newbies might delete stuff they actually want to keep. Wooohooo! Thanks! This search filter is great! Thanks! Is the AntiVir Desktop overcleaning issue going to get fixed?
  18. Well, when you install MS .Net Framework 3.5, it also installs 2.0 and 3.0, so I suggest you leave them there. It would be a big pain in the tail to have to install them again.
  19. When I reinstalled my XP back in January, I installed IE8 over IE6 and i've never had major problems with it. I think that the problem is IE7 (or too much customizations). I prefer Safari though. SRWare Iron is good too (you can use the portable version if you just want to try it).
  20. Which Windows live programs are you using? Which version? I'm using the latest one (messenger only) and I only see msnmsgr.exe
  21. Geocities closed down new accounts a while ago and it's closing down existing ones in october. lol Tripod just sucks.
  22. Have you tried Recuva 1.29 that was released July 24?
  23. Well, first of all, you need to fill a small registration form before you can use it (Praragon Rescue Kit registration doesn't work with it, you'll need a new one) Everything is made in a simple wizard, so you won't get lost or wonder what to do, which is nice. It has an utility to check backups for errors. It also has a "Recovery Media Builder" that can make a bootable CD, USB or Firewire to recover images. Overall, it's nice.
  24. uncheck "User Assist History". Check the Piriform Docs site for more info on which cleans what.
  25. Go to Options > Settings and select Secure File Deletion. Select between the options (3 passes is good) (don't use the 35 one). Now go to Cleaner. In the Windows tab > System, right-click Empty Recycle Bin and select clean. If you run the cleaner with Secure Deletion enabled it will wipe everything checked. For a right click on the bin go to Options > Settings and check Add "Run CCleaner" Option To Recycle Bin Context Menu. Running this will clean all the checked boxes on the cleaner.
