  1. You should update to Speccy v1.03 and see if it still happens. Download from here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download Ok here.
  2. See here (post #34). It's not official, but does the trick.
  3. There's also the recycle bin context menu option. (go to "Options" -> "Settings") Many people don't use it.

    Speccy v1.03

Everything works very well. One suggestion: add a "copy" context menu, for those who still don't know about Ctrl + C Yes, please. Add it asap.
  5. It does because you have "Windows Live Sign-in Assistant" installed.
  6. This is normal. Every time you type something in the Run box it gets written to the registry, but is also stored in memory for faster access. CCleaner clears this history from the registry, not from memory, so you have to log out > log in (or restart) to actually clear the Run box.
  7. Are you using Windows XP? If you are, then just delete the Opera folder located at: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\ You might need to enable hidden files and folders (in explorer go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View)
  8. I have updated my post at the "Support for Chromium-based browsers" topic so that it's easier to understand for people new to winapp2.ini. Now all you guys have to do is link to it (just like Aethec did).
  9. lol You know, there are plenty of these on desktopnexus Here's a few... (they are linked) You can find more here.
  10. It was working for me when I tested it. I did not create a Flock account though. I assume that the "userdata-76472-KVC-Flock" folder stores only your flock account data, and not the regular cache, cookies stuff.
  11. Thanks for the info... I've made winapp2.ini sections for Flock 3.0 Open Notepad, paste the following code into it, and save it as winapp2.ini (all files). Now place the file on the CCleaner folder. [Flock 3 - Cache] Section=Flock 3 LangRef=Cache DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default\Cache|*.* [Flock 3 - Cookies] Section=Flock 3 LangRef=Cookies DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Cookies [Flock 3 - History] Section=Flock 3 LangRef=History DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|*History* FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Thumbnails FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Visited Links [Flock 3 - Form Data] Section=Flock 3 LangRef=Form Data DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Web Data [Flock 3 - Session Restore] Section=Flock 3 LangRef=Session Restore DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Current* FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Last*
  12. OMG!!! They just added it! :D Thanks MrG, this will help a lot of people navigate the site.
  13. Awesome!!! It looks really awesome! One suggestion: add a "Home" button to the top toolbar.
  14. Did you do a default install or a custom install? I ask because I just did a default install on my Windows XP and it installed to the Program Files folder, and I want to know if ChromePlus installs to a different folder on Vista or if it was just you. Try this other one and let me know. [ChromePlus - Cache] Section=ChromePlus LangRef=Cache DetectFile=%appdata%\ChromePlus\chrome.exe Default=True FileKey1=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default\Cache|*.* [ChromePlus - Cookies] Section=ChromePlus LangRef=Cookies DetectFile=%appdata%\ChromePlus\chrome.exe Default=True FileKey1=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default|Cookies [ChromePlus - History] Section=ChromePlus LangRef=History DetectFile=%appdata%\ChromePlus\chrome.exe Default=True FileKey1=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default|*History* FileKey2=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default|Thumbnails FileKey3=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default|Visited Links [ChromePlus - Form Data] Section=ChromePlus LangRef=Form Data DetectFile=%appdata%\ChromePlus\chrome.exe Default=True FileKey1=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default|Web Data [ChromePlus - Session Restore] Section=ChromePlus LangRef=Session Restore DetectFile=%appdata%\ChromePlus\chrome.exe Default=True FileKey1=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default|Current* FileKey2=%appdata%\ChromePlus\ChromePlusUserData\Default|Last*
  15. Now all you need to do is this (I will try to better explain it): Go to this registry key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet] Look at the value "Default" (double-click it) On "Value Data" type the name of your browser, lets say "OPERA.EXE" (all uppercase and without quotes) After you type it, click Ok and close regedit. Now go to this other key and do exactly the same thing: [HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet] Now, make a backup of those two keys (right-click-key > export) Read my previous post again if you still have problems (I edited it). Btw, nice desktop.
  16. I edited this post to better explain things and to remove unnecessary regedit navigation. Ah, that is so annoying. I'm going to tell you how to fix it, now, and every time this happens to you. Now, this involves registry viewing and/or editing, so be careful and read first! (I know this works on XP, but not sure on others) 1) First set your browser as default (through Windows or through your browser's settings) Through Windows: Right-click-taskbar > properties > Start-menu-tab > customize > (at bottom of General tab) Select your browser and click ok. If this worked, then you are done. If not, continue. 2) Go to this registry key (again, please be careful) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet] Now look at that key's sub-keys. Look for your browser's name (ie FIREFOX.EXE) Right-click on it and click rename (don't modify it, just copy its name) Now click on the "StartMenuInternet" key. OK, here comes editing: Once on the "StartMenuInternet" key, look at the "Default" value. Replace the data of this value with the name of the browser you just copied (ie FIREFOX.EXE). Now go to this other registry key and replace the same "Default" value with the same browser name. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet] Make a backup of those two keys (right-click-key > export) And you are done. If your browser asks again to be set as default, well, click yes! And sorry for the bad English.
  17. What if you want/need to roll back?
  18. Like the topic title says, it would be great if CCleaner could detect and delete empty Start menu folders (hopefully without slowing CC down).
  19. @Alan What really bothers me is that people think they are gaining space from deleting RPs through CCleaner and they are not (not much). And also, DiskCleanup can properly delete the RPs, and also a few 3rd parties (like Tuneup Utilities) so I think that Piriform hasn't done their home work yet.
  20. http://docs.piriform.com/ccleaner/using-ccleaner/removing-system-restore-points (at the bottom) It really pisses me off that Piriform allows people to mess up their restore points like this. Use Windows' "DiskCleanup" instead. Oh, and, +1 for your suggestion.
  21. You can't just block .gif images, many websites use them. For example, the program images on filehippo.com are in .gif format. If you blocked .gif images, you wouldn't be able to see (for example) the CCleaner icon on this page.
  22. You mean block ads? Have a look at AdBlock and AdThwart. I personally use AdThwart, but they are both good.
  23. Thanks. In the startup tool, I liked it more when the toolbar was at the bottom, because startup items were more visible.
  24. Update: I've added ChromePlus to the list of browsers. @Andavari: You should change the topic title to "Support for Chromium-based browsers".
