  1. This functionality in K-Meleon is provided by a "Privacy plugin" that, unfortunately, doesn't always work as expected. In version 1.6beta 2 for example, it is bugged and the history cleaning on it doesn't work at all (you have to go to the preferences window to clean history).

Please, help add K-Meleon to the Winapp2.ini File!

It works fine (even with the beta) on my K-Meleon :)

  2. Ignore exassse. He does not understand what he has already been told about how index.dat is NOW CLEANED.

He would prefer that it be deleted as it used to be,

even though he fails to realize that CC CANNOT and never did delete index.dat,

and in the past only "marked for deletion" by the system as it rebooted.

The new method is far superior.

What is now cleaned is no longer present should you continue to browse before rebooting.

    Your issue is entirely different.

What version of I.E. are you using ?

Please specify the complete path and name of the folders and files you are concerned about.

    Please guy ,

    write my name correctly

And don't accept like the truth what you have been told.... :)

  3. due to your use of ie6 you won't have those other .dat files so it will show nothing under dat files. However please remember just because you don't use IE doesn't make it safe to have the old version (it's still exploitable by viruses and malware even if you don't use it) so please for your sake and the sake of those whose computers come into contact with yours update to at least ie7

I have upgraded to IE 8 ( thanks for...) and now (with the last version) the IE files ( to delete) appear except index.dat !

and after reboot all index.dat are the same...( I've compared with search engine of Windows) !
