  1. Is this program like Winpatrol and Prevx? Or is it a differant thing all together?

Hi feed back I wish I had found Arovax before as I have just paid for WinPatrol 9.7 and I find your one better and easier to use. :D

For instants I have set WinPatrol to start up with Windows and no matter what I try I can not get it to do it.

But now I have Paid for it I am stuck with it.

So keep up the work and yes it has my vote. :D:D

  2. Don't wait.......give him a PM warning and...............

I myself use a-squared, Spyware Blaster, Spybot, Ad-Aware and a small app from Vietnam Solutions called

"VnS14H" which works silently in the background. I have used it for 4-5 months and appears to work very well and contains no spyware or adware and is free.

    Also use CCleaner of course!

AVG Free and ZA Pro (paid)

Hi i use microsoft antispyware, CCleaner, Ad-Aware SE Plus, Ad-watch SE Plus, Yahoo Antispyware, WinPatrol 9.7 Pro. all genuine, not pirated, and all paid for to help to develop them more.

I don't like boasters who admit they steal it, they should do what microsoft do and that is make it so that you have to validate it before you can use it.

  3. Thanks for the reply. I disconnected it from my win xp for a friend to use so will it be ok just to plug in or do i have to reinstall to my same xp system. thanks again

When you replug it in on your usb windows should find it ok as drivers will still be installed.

  4. I hate buying those $25-$30 black ink catridges for printers and I have always shunned away from buying those refill kits that you just refill an empty catridge with.  Now I am considering buying them b/c they are just so much cheaper.  Have any of you had experience in using these things, and are they worth the trouble for the cheaper cost?  Thanks!

The ink does not dry quick and they smug and smear and have been known to leak with printer even turned off.

  5. All of a sudden when ever my computer seems to be running once and a while the windows explorer crashes and it restarts by itself. This gets really annoying when try to dnwload large bittorrents...

I thought maybe that i was just running to may programs at the same time. I know i don't have any viruses or spyware so thats not a option any ideas on why this is happening?

Hi can you do a post hijack log and post it.

  6. When doing Windows Update, I get prompted to install the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130).  After triggering the install, it does its normal thing for 15 seconds or so, and then tells me that the install was unsuccessful.  No reason is given, and when I look at my update history, no "failed install" is logged.  I have Win 2000.  I tried shutting down my anti-virus and firewall programs.  Any help is appreciated.

Check to see if that the right version comes up as the number you have given is for windows xp.

  7. That is what i thought, how come you mention "and the connect to the windows update web site to install the updates" & "then connect to the windows update Website to install the updates that you want" what windows updates?

Hi relooked it up you need the update from the update windows to make the driver work.

  8. I have not tried your suggestions yet but i have read a few, are they for windows task scheduler or windows update scheduler because i am having problems scheduling tasks not window update. Tanks for your help either way.

That is what the error brings up for windows task not update.

  9. Hi have looked at your posting and this is what code 19 is:

    Your registry might be corrupted.

    WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT.

Incorrect or conflicting information is entered in the registry settings for this device.

Try using the Troubleshooting Wizard to identify the specific problem.

If that is unsuccessful, uninstall and then reinstall the driver. Try using System Restore to roll back the configuration to a point where the device worked properly.

Hope this post has helped you.

  10. Hi the error that comes up is because of 1 of these 4 issues.

1 One or more mapped network drivers are configured on your computer. However, you do not have permissions to access one or more of the mapped network drivers.

2 Incorrect NTFS file system permissions are set on the drive:\WUTemp folder on your hard disk.

3 Incorrect permissions are set on following subkey in the Windows registry:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate

4 Incorrect permissions are set on the following subkey in the Windows registry:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

    RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one or more of the following methods, depending on your situation.

Method 1: Disconnect the mapped network drives

Disconnect the mapped network drives that are configured on your computer, and the connect to the windows update web site to install the updates.

Method 2: Verify the permissions that are set on the WUTemp folder.

Verify that the correct permissions are set on the drive:\WUTemp folder, and then connect to the windows update web site to install the updates. If you have more than one hard disk on your computer, verify the permissions that are set on the WUTemp folder on each hard disk. To verify the permissions that are set on the drive:\WUTemp folder, follow these steps.

    1. Start Windows Explorer, then locate the drive:\WUTemp folder.

    2. Right-click the WUTemp folder, then click properties.

    3. Click the Security tab.

    4. Verify that the following groups are assigned the Full Control permission to the WUTemp folder:

    (a) Administrators

    (B) Power Users

    © Users

If the allow check box next to full control is not selected for any one of these groups, assign Full Control permission to the group. To assign the Full Control Permission to a group, follow these steps:

    1. In the group or user names list, click the name of the group. If the group is not in the list, add the group. To do so, follow these steps:

    (B) In the Selected Users, Computers, or Groups box, type the name of the group that you want to add, then click OK.

    2. In the Permissions For GroupName list, select the Allow check box next to Full Control, the click OK.

Method 3: Verify the permissions that are set for Windows Update in the Registry.

Verify that the correct permissions are set on the following registry subkey, then connect to the windows update Website to install the updates that you want:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate

To verify the permissions that are set for windows update in the registry, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, then click Run.

2 In the Open box, type regedit, then click OK.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate

    4. On the Edit menu, click permissions.

    5. Verify that the Administrators group and the systems account are assigned full control permission and the Read permission. If the Allow check box next to Full control or Read for the Administrators group or for the system account is not selected, assign the full control or read permission to the accounts. To assign the full control permission and read permission, follow these steps:

    (a) In the Goup or User names list, click the name of the group or of the user account.

    (B) In the permissions for GroupName list, select the Allow check boxes next to Full Control and Read, and then click OK.

Note The Allow check boxes next to full control and read may be unavailable (or appear dimmed).

    6 Quit Registry Editor.

Method 4: Verify the permissions that are set for Classes Root in the Registry

Verify that the correct permissions are set on the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, and then connect to the windows Update website to install the updates that you want.
