Are Reigistry Backup files automatically created?

Hello All, I just installed the CCleaner utility. I could not find in the settings or options screen where to designate the creation of a registry backup file or where it is created. Please advise. I am assuming that the utility automatically creates a .reg backup file for you. Am I correct? Thanks and have a great day!
