Thought I'd pass this on. It's very useful when trying to read small e-mail print (especially in the early hours). If you hold down the Ctrl key on your key board and turn the small wheel in the middle of your mouse, the print size will change - it will either get larger or smaller - depending on which way you turn the wheel. Pass this on to other friends who may find it very useful

Thanks Keith...have cut and pasted it.. This was my first run of REG cleaner so a lot on it...Now when I run the programme it only comes up with 2 or 3 entries. Have cleaned out a lot of the zero's on the later entries. I cannot understand you scepticism re speeding up and preventing locking up computer etc as when I read or look up other reg cleaners they all claim to prevent these problems as this programme did with mine.. Anyway here is what was cleaned on my first run. Jesus there are programmes I got rid of years ago mentioned. Makes you wonder what else is lurking on the disc... Hi Howard....Had a similar problem last week...I had run defraggler around the same time but dont think it would of been the cause as I booted up a couple of times after running the programme and have run it since.. I have Windows XP.. Another stab in the dark is your Hard Drive could be getting old and you are due for a replacement. They are pretty cheap and it is a easy job to transfer your complete system to the new drive. (I am getting a computer mate to do it with one of his programmes shortly as My drive is quite old and have to boot up at least 3/4 times each time I turn on my computer before it loads up - anyway that is another story but worth mentioning) A lot of people leave it until it is to late and as stated it doesnt cost much for a drive these days. I recommend a Western Digitial drive as Seagate can have problems occassionally. Now back to your problem (I hope)... I solved my problem by inserting my XP PRO installation disc and doing a recovery. Fixed it promptly. Again I didnt do it my Computer geek mate did it but pretty simple.. Once the disc is in just goto "learn more about the setup processes" and that should explain how to do a recovery. It does go on a lot about Safe mode so if you can get into that give it a go first.. Here is a cut and paste from my XP Pro setup process.. Hope it helps because I know how you feel..... Keith agree but it did speed the computer up e.g surfing. Could of been other factors as we are all aware. I did run C cleaner as well so maybe that was a factor?? Not sure how to put the file on here. When I right click the file it gives options to winzip the file and email and put into archive etc but that obviously won't give me a copy to put on here... Can I just add it as an attachment on this message? as a winzip or original folder? I could reinstall the registry entries and by left clicking and see if that slows me down again - should work. Will now go back and reinstall all registry entries from 23 June and see if it slows my computer down. Will advise... --------------------------------------- Re Draggler as mentioned in my original post..I have done some testing using both programmes..I did a analyse using Defraggler and came up with 3017 fragments and 592 fragmented files. I then did the same with Executive Diskeeper and came up with: 2538 fragments 1%excess fragments Ran a defrag on Excutive Diskeeper which defragged the C drive Ran Analysize again on Defraggler and it gave results of: 5 Fragmented files/ 11 total fragments... My conclusion is both programmes work looking at the results of the Analyze on Defraggler.. The only difference you pay for Executive diskeeper and Draggler is free... Hope you can understand all that.. YES I know I should of put the Defraggler section but seems I have created 2/3 subjects in the one from my original post.. no problem though as it is not a problem solution just a observation --------------------------

Must say for a free Reg Cleaner CC Reg cleanup certainly worked for me tonight. My computer was sluggish and lagged between screens and was locking up making me restart. Being a careful user and wary of Registry cleaners because of the damage they can do had not tried the CC Reg cleaner. Anyway went ahead and did it.... My computer now is fast and does not lag or lock up...Don't know what it was but obviously something wrong in the Registry that CC fixed. I was confident in using it as it states CC doesnt clear anything that can cause untold damage. I also backed up my registry using the option CC gives you. Thanks guys I think a donation will be on the way shortly.. Tried the Defragger programme as well the other day. Dont know if its as good as my purchased Executive software cleaner but will find out as will run the CC programme and then run the executive software Diskeeper programme and see how long it takes. Executive also gives an analysis so that will tell me how good Defragger works. But then who's complaining you programmes are free and you must be commended for that. Use the options to save cookies as well so I dont have to keep signing into some sites ...Brilliant as most cleaners E.g Window washer dont give this option and you have to sign onto the site every time you sign in even though you have asked it to save the password etc. Keep up the good work.......

I think you must of had WINDOW WASHER. I must admit I bought the programme before I came accross CC CLEANER. That has a free space cleaner included in in its options. You can google it but you have to pay for it. But then why do that as the previous post seems to have answered your question. CC will most probably incorperate it one day..Not a major drama though.. If you want to try it get the free period off Window washer and clean it that way and then bow out

Portable CCleaner can now run from a USB thumbdrive and be installed/run on a computer without a complicated setup process The above is one of the new improvements...So I assume you can put CC on your thumbdrive and run it on any computer e.g laptop etc with out having to instal or download the programme. Is this correct. If so do I have to down load the programme to my Thumb drive from the host site and will this work or can I goto my C:drive /programmes and copy my download from this computer accross to the thumbdrive? This programme has been a god send especially when having problems and have to send the tech support on some sites a pic of the problem. Also good for copying pictures to word /email etc etc... Thanks for that... I have XP so I use photo resizer from Microsoft powertoys It is brilliant as you just have to right click on the pic or pics to resize. It also gives the resized pic without deleting the original. Dont know if its just me but I wanted to read up on the issues section of CC. I went to help, which I finally located on bottom left of main screen, and went into the webpage. I click on FAQ section and into that menu. Clicked on USING and selected "how do I select issues on the issue list" Another page came up with a line saying "right click to bring up menu" I right clicked and all I got was the windows drop down menu e.g back, save background,copy background etc etc.. So how do I access the actual help article for issues. I have since signed on to CC and found the user manual on the site but still interested in what is going wrong or what I am doing wrong on the FAQ page direct from the CC programme.
