  1. PDF's are usually used for image documents as far as I've seen, but I've seen some "sample" chapters of books written in pdf editors and they work fine. As for my dislike for word, thats just me, I never liked MS-Word I prefer simple things that load faster like Notepad or GetDiz.

  2. Winword just doesn't work for me thats why I want to do it in a pdf editor. Winword often lags for freezes, and when I double space capitalizes my letters where they don't need to be. I usually just use notepad/GetDiz for word processing but I'd be better off with a spell check like that of word, in a pdf editor. :)

  3. Oh, I've had this once. It often played the Mr. T World of Warcraft advert, it was rather annoying. Its not eaisly removed if I recall D:

Its not an audio virus though, its a virus that launches browser advertisements beneath or behind the GUI, it hijacked my internet explorer. Can be stopped for a while by ending the browser process in task manager though its not recommended ending processes through there.

  4. Notepad is enough for me.

For DOC files i have Word Viewer and for excel files i have Excel Viewer. Rarely need to use them though.

Same, but I use GetDiz for a lot of files that have ASCII art.

I used open office and I didn't really like the UI, so I stuck with Microsoft Office

  5. I'm actually having trouble using it myself as its slightly bigger than my normal keyboard and also just that much faster I mess up certain capitalizations :P ex I messed up ":3" on MSN 4 times typing :# :P

  6. I think she means areas with Kiddy in them, like Kiddy Music. You wouldn't see to many middle aged to old metal heads in there, unless we wanted to convert the youth of today from their current listening to something more brutal.

I had my friend set up those forums, it was kind of under the idea of a "safe space" ie no profaninty / racism / sexism in those forums (not that its condoned elsewhere.) A name change would better suit it I think.but again, the only users on the forums are currently working on them so theres not much to worry about in way of impressing people just yet.

Also, yes, Kitchen Sink is top of the line hardware, like the Razer Lycosa :> which, by the way mine came in the mail today, and it is excellent!

  7. I think you have to decide who your target audience are, as I don't think you'll get a lot of the 'older end' posting in some of the areas :)

I'm not sure what you mean.

  8. ah fine, by your advice I fixxed the first post :P

I also hid some of the forums and made them all into one forum. :3 Although I did consider a "Kitchen Sink" forum for you, Andavari :>

  9. I consider Norton legal spyware, I think those services are the reason my computer comes up as having norton on it. The norton removal tool doesn't even work :P It just flashes a command prompt window and disappears :S

I disabled them, and by your advice I wont delete them.

  10. My modem is downstairs, my computer is in the hallway upstairs. (I'm not allowed to have it in my room :P, I would never leave my room..or sleep.) anyway, I have mentioned to my dad about moving the router out of the all-wood section of my house into the house part of my house(my house used to be a dentists home-office so the main part of the house has an all wood addon.) So of course, my mom picked the furthest room possible from this computer and put the router in there XD. Doesn't help its surrounded by wood. <_<.

If only the computer was in my room, then maybe I could run a line off the modem.

    if only, if only..

  11. It does sound like the computer is loosing then re-recognizing a usb device...

    Tee-Dum = device unpluged/lost

    Ta-De = device found

This sound for me, is one of terror. It happens when I bump into my tower and my broken wireless card falls .002? downwards, knocking out my internet.
