  1. I would like if someone can tell me if using Defraggler with PageDefrag from Sysinternals are both required. The reason I ask this whenever I launch the PageDefrag it always shows fragments at 1 but today for the first time I noticed one item being at 2 fragments. So before using it I defragged with Defraggler and than returned to PageDefrag and noticed that the same item that was at 2 fragments was than at 1 fragment. So does this mean PageDefrag from Sysinternals is not required since I use Defraggler? Anyone can clerify this for me. Much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  2. About the Incomplete folder in Documents from Limewire is used for people who wish to continue the downloading of the movie, music, and etc in case you closed limewire when the downloadable file was not finished completely. So therefor not everyone might want to delete it if you wish to continue downloading the remaining file. You can always delete it manually if you don't want it no more. In other words that folder is created for a reason.
  3. Ok here below is the debug. Note that defragment works well it's just when I click anything in the ACTION or SETTINGS defraggler.exe._1_4_98__2008_12_02_17_58_.txt defraggler.exe._1_4_98__2008_12_02_17_58_.txt
  4. When I launch Defraggler and go to the menu such as Action/ Settings/Help and than click a item from there I get a message Windos has encountered an error. I have the latest update of Defraggler. Any ideas why this happens? I noticed it happening often.
  5. When I use CCleaner registry to clean it works fine. However I find that it does not detect all invalid registry entries. When I use a usb flash drive with it's portableapps.com program on it. The portable apps.exe is not detected but it is detected with Windows Live One Care registry. NOTE: In Windows One Live Care registry: this is found in the User Software. Also when I convert videos or audios on my computer CCleaner again does not find entries of videos and audios extension not used no more and Windows Live One Care registry does. NOTE: In Windows One Live Care registry: this is found in the file types. Shouldn't CCleaner detect these in the Obsolete software and Unuesed file extensions?
  6. Hi, I once had aUSB flash drive that showed the wrong capacity of space left and the only way I could fix that is by formatting it. So you guys can try formatting it and see if that helps.
  7. Hi, I recently started using Defraggler and it's a great product and fast too. However I was wondering if anyone knows why after I analyze Disc and than highlight all files that are fragmented to defrag is done quickly but after that when all is successfully defragged I tried to defrag again but defragging the whole disc and it takes a long time even though I had just finished successfully defragging files found by analysis. My other question is what is the difference between defragging empty space and defragging empty space (allowed fragmentation)? Also when would the defrag empty space option be worth doing after or before defragging Disc/files/folders/? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi, When using the Scan for issues in the CCleaner's registry it would be great if it would give the total number of the items it found. So this way instead of having to check the whole list of items to see if there is any new ones again I can just compare the items found from last fixed issues to the present scanned issues. Another option that can be even better is at the end of Scanned Issues CCleaner would give the total of items found up to now, new items discovered now, and total items fixed up to now, and if fixed total items fixed.
  9. I was wondering if CCleaner can be set to empty a folder but to exclude one of the file in that folder. Example if I were to add a folder in the Include section of the Advanced Options to be emptyed but set only one file from that folder to be excluded. Advice would this work or will the whole folder be emptyed.
  10. I would like to suggest an option to compress old files such as the one found with windows cleaner. So I can do this all in one program such as Cclaener.
  11. Ok Guys, First of all I would like to thank everyone who gave advices to me. Now about my issue. I have resolved it by removing CCleaner from my USB drive and copying the Standard CCleaner version folder from my computer to the USB flash drive . Than I went to the standard version on my computer and ticked the option to save to INI files and than after doing this I was able to tick the option to save files to INI on the CCleaner on the USB drive. And finally went back to the computer one and unticked the option and than verified the USB one and the tick was selected. So everything is fine now. Again many thanks to all who responded.
  12. Thanks for responding however I did extract the zipped folder to the usb flash drive and I can't tick the option to save to INI file. EDITED; I have removed it from flash drive and downloaded again the ZIP folder and than again extracted it to a folder I named CcleanerPortable which is in my portable usb flash drive. However when attempting to tick off the option to save to INI file it doesn't. What am I doing wrong? Note I have the standard version on my commputer but I also wanted to add the portable option for my usb flash drive so I can use it with other computers. Thanks in advance.
  13. I installed CCleaner on a usb flash drive and when I try to tick the "save file to INI it won't allow me" Anyone know why? Thanks in advance.
  14. I would like to suggest the option when right clicking on the list of registry items found to add select/deselect all same software issues. So this way if I know I have an uninstalled program remaining in registry I wouldn't have to scoll down to look for all items pertaining to the same software that was uninstalled. It would make it simpler.
  15. Hi, I want to suggest if everyone else finds this idea good. The idea would be for CCleaner to add an option to backup the whole registry even if not using it to remove content. So this way for anyone scared to backup there whole registry or does not know how to do this can do it easily and be protected if the registry one day becomes corrupted. The idea would be to have an option to backup our whole registry anytime we do new things to the system. Of cours this would be in the option and for us to choose if we want it or not ticked. Also I would like some advice on 2 items: 1. The new feature in the registry window since the previous version titled "Type Library" I would like to know what this is content is used for exactly and if it is safe to delete? 2. I also wanted to know if it safe to delete content in the C\Windows\Installer since when I do a search on this I get some saying not good to delete since it may be needed to uninstall software. Or at least is it safe to delete the once that that show when analyzing in the Installer content of the CCleaner Registry? Thanks in advance.
  16. I agree with Jamin4u that not all of us like to have auto update. Me for example I like to know what I am updating so in case something goes wrong I know the reason and I than can restore to an earlier point when things were stable. So like Jamin4u says if you are going to add an update at least make it an optional choice that we can decide for ourselves whether to check or uncheck to option for auto updates.
  17. I just recently started using CCleaner and am using the latest version after 2 version updates. The version I am using currently is 2.08.588 I like this utility because of it's cleaning and for keeping the privacy out of reach. However when using it I have noticed 2 types of privacy items not being cleaned. The first one is web search entries such as any search entry I did with Google. The second is mostly important. It consists of recent files and folders that come from documents, images, and attachments that I have used and opened. These recent files and folders reside in the folder C/Documents and Settings/Username/Application Data/Microsoft/Office/Recent. But the same recent files and folders that reside in the folder C/Documents and Settings/Username/My Recent Documents are being deleted. My question is why not or maybe they can be deleted if I were to tick some options in the CCleaner. If so what should I tick in the options. Also if not maybe this feature should be added in the future versions of CCleaner. Thanks in advance. The Don Windows XP Home Edition SP 3
