If you're talking about Fences (according to another forum "Fences loads as part of explorer", and my explorer mem usage is currently at : 36mb) , there's no noticeable difference between running it and running without. Same with Rainmeter ( which uses 14mb of ram, and doesn't use processor power), but if you're talking about the other program, i dunno. Currently, I'm running : Firefox, Pidgin, Avira, Rainmeter, Fences, Firefox Preloader and I'm using 523mb of my 2gb ram (200mb of which is firefox), and the rest is smaller programs. In the last hour, my cpu usage was at highest 8%, at lowest 1%. ( Athlon 64 x2 4400+ ) So, no discernable difference.

In the last hour, I installed : Cygwin, Wubi, and Texter. After that, I uninstalled Google Desktop, in favour of Launchy. Not two hours later, I uninstalled Wubi. A little bit after, I was planning on organizing my desktop, as I almost constantly do. Here's when I noticed I could no longer move any of the icons in my desktop. Strange, I thought to myself. So I went on to organize my start menu. Couldn't do that either. I mean, I can use the applications, I just can't move anything to anywhere else. I've scanned with MBAM, Avira, and SUPERAntiSpyware, so I doubt it's any sort of virus, malware, or otherwise. So I'm thinking, maybe it's Cygwin, or Texter. I uninstalled both, to no avail. Now, I've given up trying to find the solution myself, as I've spent the last 20 minutes searching for an answer. So I bring the question to you folk : Any ideas on what could be wrong? I checked my desktop settings, and Lock Desktop Items isn't checked. Dragging and Dropping is enabled on Start Menu. ( Anyone who answers this gets a gold star and my eternal love and gratitude. ) edit : asffafas it fixed itself. after i spent all this time trying to find out what it was... it fixed itself. how frustrating. you may feel free to ignore this post, though, if anyone has any idea why this would occur, i'd be very interested in knowing...

It's pretty much the same thing as DotA but without relying on Warcraft III's engine. It's made by the guys who made Savage and Savage 2, which are alright games. It's still in beta, mind you, so it's not exactly polished, but it's not too bad. If I had invites to the closed beta, I'd offer, but I don't. I just started using HOSTS ( using Hostsman for MVPS and hphosts ) and for some reason, sites I regularily use ( like pastebin ) are blocked. Anyone know why? I know how to remove them, I'm just wondering what would possibly cause someone to block a site that has very little impact =\
