  1. Thanks DennisD. I read that during my research and it works for sure. Since I never had this problem before installing SP3, I assume that it the culprit. Best regards,
  2. I have posted problems here on two other occassions and got immediate responses that made my computer well. Now going for a third: I suspect this topic has been discussed in this forum before; however, I have not been able to find it. Furthermore, I don't know if this problem is caused by CCleaner, SP3 or At&T internet Security Suite since I installed them all at about the same time. In any event when I try to save a picture I sometimes get a pop up that says, "Cannot find c:windows\system32\mshtml.hlp file." My research shows that there is no such file. While others have had this problem I have not heard of a solution. I have gone through all the registry backups I saved since using CCleaner and can find nothing that resembles such a file. Sometimes when I try to save a file as JPG, I have only a BMP option. (I know this is the only option on some sites), I go ahead and save it as a BMP, only to discover that it was saved as a JPG. Other times I have no problems saving that same photo as a JPG right from the start. Something funny is going on and if anyone has a solution I would greatly apprecieate it. Best reagards,
  3. Well thanks everybody. I have that dude in the exclude bin now, along with another one that mentioned something about antivirus. I am gun shy now and will put anything relating to antivirus there if I don't know exactly what it is.

    RB5.tmp

Well thanks Dennis. That sounds reasonable enough. I only recently installed AT&T (formerly BellSouth) internet security suite. Never noticed those files in the recycle bin until yesterday but they may have been there all along. best regards,

    RB5.tmp

Since installing and running CCleaner I have noticed many items appearing in my recycle bin. This morning there were 19 such items. An example from the properties of one item is: RB5.tmp Type: Tmp File Origin: Recycler Size: 0 Bytes What are those files and are they generated by CCleaner? Best regards,
  6. Thanks davey. You may be right about unchecking Obsolete softeware in the Registry; however, that is my prime reason for using CCleaner. I think I may have to exclude that key if I can do it and figure out how. May get some time this weekend to go over things in more detail. AT&T does not show up in the Applicatons tab in the Cleaner function. Best regards,
  7. Just installed and ran CCleaner yesterday. Cleaned everything including registry entries. When I rebooted my At&t anti-virus would not run. I restored the registry files and things were back to normal. Today I started deleting the registery items by group, i.e. Active X, Installer Reference, Uninstaller Reference, etc., rebooting after each deletion, until I found the registry key that prevented At&T anti-virus from running. "Obsolete software key Antivirus HKLM\Software\Antivirus" I assumed that was reference to Norton Anti-virus I had previously, but it shuts down my AT&T anti-virus. Just thought I would post this for information and a possible fix on the next update. Best regards,
