  1. Thanks very much, Keith. I will use CCleaner to un-install. Bartolo
  2. Earlier this week I removed both Ad-Aware and TeaTimer from my Startup list with CCleaner, but the icon for Ad-Aware keeps showing up in my system tray. Also, Process Explorer shows both a service app and a tray app as being active for Ad-Aware. Before I un-install Ad-Aware with CCleaner, I was wondering if that will totally get rid of it, or whether some kind of boot-up error might happen. Is this to be expected; to see an application still showing up in the tray and in Process Explorer after being removed from Startup by CCleaner? Thanks, Bartolo
  3. Thanks, Davey. I suppose to be safe I could delete one of the oldest files outside of CCleaner and wait until the May update to see what happens. I can't see why we need to keep years' worth of these things. Bartolo
  4. Many people have viewed my post, but no one has any thoughts. Do people recognize these KBnnnnnn log files left over from our monthly MS patch updates? Do People let CCleaner delete them, or do they uncheck the Windows Log Files under System? For those that do allow CCleaner to delete them, do you ever have a problem with MS updates after doing so? Thanks, Bartolo
  5. Please forgive what must be a common beginner question, but my initial analyze run includes all those Knnnnnn files left over from the monthly Microsoft patches. A while back I noticed all these files and emailed MS help about them and was told not to delete them. Is Microsoft being overly cautious and can I let CCleaner get rid of them? Perhaps they look at them when I click on Patch History while in MS update. Thanks
  6. Thanks. I tried this morning at Afterdawn, got the same virus at start of download with f-prot, but was able to continue with Opera after clearing the virus check. Subsequent virus check on installer on desktop also supposedly found the virus, but was able to delete it from the installer by f-prot. Kind of unnerving, but I guess all is well. Thanks again.
  7. It was the latest version of CC, the Hippo sit plus the alternative, and f-prot. The first virus I have seen on my PC in years.
  8. Just tried to download CCleaner and my virus pgm found one and the download never continued. Am I the only one?
