  1. Surely some of you realise that in countries with two major parties where one or the other usually wins it's corporate rule as usual. Anyways out of interest you could take the below survey to get an idea which candidate would have suited your line of thinking. Presidential Survey Cynthia McKinley suited my line of thinking by a long shot, followed by Nader, Obama, Baldwin, McCain with Barr last. Obama Party
  2. Came across this Dr Web FF addon and right clicked/scanned the download link for Antivirus Pro 2009 which is a rogue app. Seemed to do it's job OK but only tried it on the one link so far? Dr Web FF Addon
  3. Have you tried a chkdsk? Can take a fair while to run and is no guarantee it will work. You can right click C drive - Properties - Tools - Error-checking/Check Now and select both options which will prompt to run checkdisk at next reboot.
  4. Interesting if and when the rogue is executed to install and it detects the pc is Russian language it auto cancels the installation?
  5. Seems the site may have been hijacked or is deliberately redirecting to download Rapid Antivirus which is a rogue app. Went there a second time and was prompted to download WinAntivirus 2008 which is a rogue as well. Firefox with Noscript stops the redirection. Thanks for pointing it out TUNDRA35.
  6. Vista here. With CCleaner if I hit analyze it shows about a meg to delete with no WBEM logs showing up. If I hit Run Cleaner then CCleaner shows around 17 meg cleaned up and which includes the WBEM logs. So in effect there is a discrepancy between analyzing and what is actually deleted. Noticed this a while ago but didn't really bother me and as Andavari says, the WBEM logs are recreated everytime.
  7. Great bit of work here! Running Miniature V8
  8. Just a normal heatsink/fan setup.
  9. Hmm, Speedfan is reading about the same as SIW? And all of a sudden my clock speed has increased which I ain't seen before?
  10. Anthony, I use SIW as well but I do get a discrepancy in the sensors with SIW showing my cpu temps at around 5 C higher than Real Temp. Which app is correct, dunno?
  11. Well I'm shirty that it wasn't at least Razzamatazz somethin...
  12. Nice sreenies of all the different PC cables, connectors and PSU's in the link below with a bit of history thrown in. All About PSU's, Cables and Connectors
  13. Quicker Launch Slick Launch Lazy Launcher Razzamattaz Launcher
  14. Check the system time in that it is set to the correct year?
  15. No AV used here in quite a while, much preferring my sandbox/virtual/images setups. I do work on a few of other people's pc's and usually install Avast Home realtime along with MBAM and SAS as on demand. Last week worked a machine where they still had 11 months left of Norton's Internet Security which had been disabled by a rouge AV. MBAM cleaned up the rogue which allowed Norton's to work ok again. They wanted to keep Nortons so I just said fine.
  16. I didn't know about most of these? Top Ten Article
  17. Sandboxie, Returnil, Firefox with needed addons and Ghost Images - security/backup. Agent Ransack, Parts of Office 03, Palmail, MWSnap, Spider Player, Winrar, Perfectdisk, Partition Magic, CCleaner, Burnaware, Send To Toys and maybe a couple of others I can't think of atm. The above are for my XP installs with most being used on my Vista installs as well.
  18. Yep, one of the must have apps for cleanups and left on fulltime for those that need it!
  19. Has anyone done any settings for Flash Player? Had a brief look at it but dunno if it's worth changing any settings or not? Settings Manager Page
  20. Just installed it now.Seems OK atm but lost a couple of addons.
